Actually he is not, the endings completely broke the narrative coherence and established tone of this specific SF genre.

 Getting invested? No.
Getting emotionally invested? Different question - I was very upset by the endings. Very.

But I guess I did really enjoy myself  for a large part of the game and I really did care about the characters so overall no, I don't regret it!

Yea, BioWare taught me valuable lesson. Never again will I get emotionally invested in a game like I did ME. It's just not worth it.

Not a chance.  I just started up ME1 again and while the last minutes of ME3 end the trilogy on a terrible note I wouldnt trade the rest of my time with these games for anything.  Playing ME1 again and seeing where it all began still gets to me!

No! Even as a retaker, condemning the other games because the final's severe short comings is just being dramatic and unfair.

I regret allowing myself to become so attached to "my" Shepard. After five years, and hundreds of hours, the realization that I couldn't give her a happy ending really hurt.

Still hurts, actually.

I don't regret my involvement - just EA's, Casey's and Walters'...

Invested my time? No.

Invested my money? Hell yes. I'm from Brazil and I actually paid almost 200 dollars to play ME3 on March 8th (brazilian launch date for ME3 was almost a month after NA launching date). Had to pay for Fedex, which was expensive as the game itself and also there was the customs taxes (brazilians taxes are some of the most expensive on the world), so yeah, you can imagine how I felt for paying 200 dollars on a cluster****.

Mine was standard edition.

I really feel stupid, you know.

a lot of people say that ME3 was a really awesome game until the ending. the main thing i want to point out is just how short the game was. a few quick missions and the game was over. there wasn't much to the game at all, and then the ending came.

A video game ending emotionally broke you all. Good luck in real life.

I enjoyed the entire series and don't regret anything, because I'm not an invalid.

Do I regret? Almost, but ulitmately, no. Do I hate the ending? Hell, yeah. I still play it, even if I have to stop the game before the charge to the beam and make up my own endings.

No, I had some of my best time in gaming with Mass Effect 1. And I also enjoyed Mass Effect 2 a lot. Mass Effect 3 itself wasn't really bad either, even though many corners were cut; it's just a shame that it had to end in such a horrible way. But I don't regret it. I'll think twice before buying into anything BioWare is making again. Pre-orders are definitely out of the question, and further purchases largely hinge on what they do with the Extended Cut. The DLC is chance for BioWare to prove that they actually care about what they created. If not, then there's no point buying any of their games anymore.

No. Whole series is awesome with MP as masterpiece at the end.

Enough with the whining already.

Not at all, I love the series, it's lore, music and characters! A bad ending cant take that away, I always seen Mass effect as a ''its the journey not the destination'' type of game. I do wish it had a better ending though.

Not at all. I'll be damned if I let five minutes of 'oh, uh, this kinda blew' ruin 100-odd hours of 'this is a really awesome story, universe, characters, etc'.

Hanging up on the Council, getting blasted in Afterlife, cruising the galaxy with my homeboys Garrus and Zaeed, getting friendzoned by Traynor, that stuff lasts.

If you had asked me that right after watching the ending, then I would have said yes. However, after getting over it, and looking back on my time with ME1, 2 and 90% of ME3. I'm glad I stuck with the series. If the extended cut delivers, then I'll be waiting patiently for the next Bioware game. If not, then I'll go elsewhere. Wouldn't dream of selling my Mass Effect games though. ^_^

Both 1 and 2 are short as well. You can't tell me ME2's main plot line is longer than 3's. Individual mileage typically varies but I just can't accept that kind of statement. I just don't see it at all. And 1 in general is very short unless you do every single same-y quest.
