ME2 was the best game, hands down.
The vibe of that game is amazing, and it seems like the squadmates in ME1 were boring and dull(That changed in Me2), to me the only part were the game got really good was from Virmire and on. Also, the side quest in ME1 and the RPG elements were pretty good.
ME2 allowed us to meet awesome characters that I will never forget, A variety of mission types that took place in many locations and were fun and enjoyable to play. An amazing OST and last mission, many places to visit and a decent storyline in my book, but the game revolves around relationships with your teammates not the main storyline. I could spend hours naming good things about this game.
ME3- Only thing I really enjoyed was the OST and the combat, seeing your old friends was nice but the fact that they got short-handed ruined that for me.

I guess it comes down to whether you play an RPG for the story or for the gameplay. To me it is a no-brainer, but some people need to get their button mashing fix.

Pardon me for wanting good gameplay from a, you know, GAME.

Want a good story? Read a book. Videogame stories have been good, but they still have yet to reach so high.
