Silly little question inside

So, not really a problem at all but something I wanted to know anyway:

My ingame N7 ladder is displaying in national U.S. of A. rankings. The thing is, I'm not from there. And whilst I don't care about N7 much (other than wanting MOAR of it (yes, I'm a grinder at heart)) I'd like to see my relative position to my own fellow people once in a while.

The silly part comes now:

Is it because my Origin settings are set to English (north american) instead of the native German (I prefer every utility concerning my games being in English as it's my primary gaming language and I don't like language mix-ups)?

Just checked, changing my Origin setting from English (US) to German did nothing. Still displaying the U.S. of A. ladder.
