Oh c'mon, anyone with half of a brain can read his opinion from the context, so stop this speculations.

He won't say anything outright because that would be stupid, yet he don't play fool with us stating some idiotic arguments like "I'm proud of blah, blah, artistic integrity, blah, blah...".

He didn't say he didn't like the ending at all. He said it was controversial, which it quite clearly is. This is why people laughed - because he didn't actually answer the question at all.

"Anyone with half a brain" will not put words in his mouth.

If Meer had thought the ending was good he'd have said so. No reason not to. Besides that, Bioware would've probably requested him to say so since they need what little good PR they can get and to have Shepard's VO defending the ending would be a major victory for them.

So if he had thought the ending was any good, we'd have known.

Yeah, more I hear about this more I'm convinced that not nobody that worked in ME3 believes ME3 ending is good.

Those responsible for it are either too ashamed or too stubborn to admit it, while others are forced to not talk about it.

Yes, I have the same impression. If you are truly proud in your work or art, and believe in its vision...wouldn't you defend it somewhat more strongly? Instead we get a lot of silence, and an Ending DLC that is, no matter how they put it, a change to their ending. Even it is only cosmetical, it is still a change to their artistic vision they claimed for a short time in short sentences to be proud of...

It's hard to say. Frankly I don't know what to make of any of the reactions by employees. They're on too tight a leash, so they could actually like it, or they could simply be prevented from speaking out about it for fear of losing their jobs. I know he's a gamer, so unlike Jennifer Hale, I'm sure he has an opinion. Whether he was evasive because he hates it but can't say because of BioWare/EA, or whether he likes it but doesn't want to alienate fans, it's anyone's guess.

Not necessarily.  Mr Meer may have been very leery about alienating the customers that associate his voice with Cdr Shepard.  Any comment one way or the other would have been quickly picked up and used and that would not look good on Mr Meer's resume for future voice acting gigs.  He ducked and weaved.  I fully understand why he did, but don't pretend it wasn't a dodge that told us nothing...and deliberately so.

It's a diplomatic answer. If you have something nice to say, why would you give an evasive answer?

His non-answer to the question is telling in and of itself.

uh guys. we can't expect for a VA to put his potential paycheck in danger just to please us. This is coming from someone who HATED the endings. That's just the vibe I am getting here

If he gives his opinion, he will be seen as "taking a side". Which is why opinions are avoided.

That was actually a reply to the post /directly/ above mine. Don't worry, I know you wouldn't have known that, it wasn't spelt out in big bold letters. Won't say any more... -_-

What makes you think I didn't know who and what you replied to?

If he says the ending is art and perfect fans get ticked, but it won't affect him because he's already been paid and nobody's boycotted a game over a VA so he loses nothing by taking BioWare's side. The only reason to not give his opinion is if he doesn't like the ending, because he's badmouthing an employer.

Really, if he agreed with BioWare what does he lose by saying so?

I agree with you that he just he ducked and weaved.
Any position could have been problematic.
We won't know what he really thinks.

How is that an answer at all?

Is like me asking.. "What do you think of the ocean?" and the reply is: "It's wet"

Who murdered personal opinions?
