If reading humans is easy, why are you making such a mess out of it?

That's what I was about to say.

Don't worry my children, you can't comprehend it.
Tot along your ways and enjoy the ending.

What has it got to do with us?

Mark Meer never stated one was or the other. Look at what happened to Gamble when he said he liked Synthesis the best, he even tweeted about an hour later that he's off for the night because apparently having a favourite gets you a lot of hate. What do you think would happen to Meer if he said he liked the ending?

Yup. Definitely inept at understanding people.

I understand prefectly where you're coming; I've seen the same pattern repeat itself many times.
Do not be alarmed but this response from you was predictable, I read the signs and saw the answers, you can not hide.

No, having a favourite in an ending that endorses intolerance and racism gets you a lot of hate. It has nothing to do with expressing an opinion.
But if Gamble is good at one thing, it's strawmanning those who criticise him.

That I don't enjoy the ending?

That would be apparent to anyone who's asked my opinion. You never did, so your failure is on your own there.

He didn't say it was good or bad, he said synthesis was his favorite.
My favorite is Control but I think the endings suck.

The fans thought he was supporting the Endings, but he was not.
You can tell by his language that he thought the endings were bad and synthesis was his favorite from the batch.

Well he dislikes the ending. So you read him wrong. But anyway, to say that he didn't say that he likes the ending even though he liked it because he feared fan outrage is still far fetched. The fans don't decide who gets the VO jobs at Bioware.

Go out and enjoy the ending.

Wait that's why people attack those who like the ending? Because it endorses intolerance and racism apparently? So it's not intolerant to attack people because they liked the ending of a fictional game?

Also didn't you say you were barely here anymore? Back when you weren't taking part in Turn Me OFF. So much for that eh.

Why would you be bothered by people's opinion anyway? If you like it then just say so. I mean it is easy to say for me because I am anonymous and in the majority on this board at least. But I certainly just wouldn't fall over just because the wind blows from the other direction. If he liked it and he thought there were well done then he could just have said so. Frankly, they are not. And that's what makes it hard for him to say anything. Siding with your company when you know the company didn't do anything wrong and the public is just showing mob mentality is not wrong. However siding with your company against valid customer complaints is a completely different thing.

No, SYNTHESIS endorses intolerance and racism.
Nobody's being attacked. Let go of your martyr complex already.

No, people attack people who like it because it is nonsensical and should not be defended. If we all talked with one voice then Bioware wouldn't have a chance to claim that their ending is 'controversal' but plain stupid. So people who chose to defend Bioware against better knowledge give Bioware the excuse to stick with their broken ending. That's what's so frustrating. And don't get to me with different tastes or opinions. The ending has so many flaws that you can only like it if you don't really care anyway. Mission completed, Reaper gone. All fine. Only with this attitude you can actually like the ending. Everything else about it is plain wrong.

I love the nobodies being attacked part, look at what happens to threads of people saying they liked the ending, they're trolls or Bioware employees apparently. And even I knew Turn ME Off involved BSN and I didn't pay much attention to it, for someone that is here all the time almost 2 months after a game came out complaining about it I'm not buying that you never knew that, mostly because you said you were barely here anymore but look how that turned out.

Nobody's being attacked for their opinions.
Nonsensical posts and allusions to superiority (i.e. "ending was good, you are too stupid to understand") will be disputed on those grounds.

I'll say again, get off your martyr complex.

Who said I paid particular attention to it? Since I don't play ME3 anymore aside from that day I loaded it up just to help out, it's no skin off my nose either way.

Now do me a favour and stop stalking me. This is pathetic.

Look that's a biased opinion. Yeah, you're biased. We don't call everyone who likes the ending a troll. We call those who troll the anti-enders trolls. There is a difference. If you make an half way educated post about the ending and why you liked it it is one thing. But if in your post you call it master piece and the anti-enders whiners or stupid, then hell, you get called troll, and rightly so. Because it is pure flame bait and its pure purpose is to discredit us.

Yea, at this point it is a bit of fan oppression for people involved with the project to state how they actually feel.

Please, even the creator pointed out that you're attacked for liking the ending. There was no claims of superiority there, just his opinion.

Heck some of these people are still around complaining about the ending almost 2 months after it came out, ignoring movements to help it (like don't come on BSN for Turn ME Off) while claiming they're barely here anymore.

Gamble? Like I said, he was strawmanning. He said he liked synthesis.
Synthesis = intolerance.

If he said he liked destroy or control, I doubt he would've gotten much flak at all. Get it through your head that many of us have severe problems with synthesis. It not only fails biology and evolution forever, it is immoral and racist. It is the stated ultimate goal of Saren and Harbinger.
With synthesis, the Reapers win. THAT IS WHY PEOPLE WERE UPSET.

Ok I have to say it. I usually agree with things you say, even if maybe you sometimes go a bit far. Anyway. But synthesis does not necessarily equal intolerance. It is an utopia. You know, no religion, country, no races, no property, etc. etc. The idea is if there is nothing to fight over, there will no longer be wars. Well, as a certain pirate lady from Dragon Age said, it is a nice idea in an a world of ideas. The problem I mainly have with synthesis is that it is a true fairytale ending. There could hardly be more unicorns and rainbows than in synthesis. It's supposed to be the happy ending.

But sadly it has nothing to do with ME. Not even with life. The ending basically paints life as we know it as negative, wrong. It would be better to live in a perfect world where people have no reason to disagree or whatever. That's why it is so out of place imo. It is like giving up. I think even John Lennon would have liked it. But honeslty, he was wrong with alot of things. Not all mind you, and not going into detail.

However, the problem with synthesis is not that it is racist or intolerant. It is that it is the easy way out. Dreaming instead of living. Harmony instead of conflict. Status quo instead of progress. It is everything life is not about. Another quote from Dragon Age from Hawke: "It's life, wild and glorious." Despite all the strife, chaos and injustice you have to love life as it is. And synthesis is an abomination. As is the idea of 'heaven' tbh. (or utopia).

Think about the reasoning behind synthesis.

Organics and synthetics are different.
Because they are different, they will never co-exist.
Synthesis makes organics and synthetics the same.
If they are the same, they will co-exist forever.

Well actually co-existence is the wrong word as they're just mashed together as one but you get the point.

Now, replace "organic" and "synthetic" with "black" and "white". Do you see the very, very unsettling issue now?

But sadly it has nothing to do with ME. Not even with life. The ending basically paints life as we know it as negative, wrong. It also violates a core theme of Mass Effect. Strength and unity in diversity.
Synthesis eliminates diversity, and blames diversity for the galaxy's problems.
