Is it worth it? Considering that you have no back up escape, (like the cloak)  should I  spec any points into hunter mode at all? Even with full fitness, around 650 shields and 400 health isn't a lot to be able to play with on gold.(not talking about FBW/Geth of course.

Yes it's worth it imo. I take it to level 4 for the power recharge. Remember you dont need to keep it on all the time. If things are getting too heated just turn it off.

You have a healing turret.

Keep it nearby, and watch yourself become the killing machine you born to be.

Def. worth it. I have a level 20 sniper with the turret and hunter mode. Being able to see enemies behind walls and through smoke is great.

Definitely worth it, but considering the geth infiltrator is in fact a geth hunter, I kind of wish the aptly named "Hunter mode" was a GI exclusive power, GE could have maybe geth Shield Boost instead...

it's worth it. it lets you see phantoms and hunters when they cloak. you can also see if you and your squad are walking into a huge cluster of enemies. you can see enemies hiding behind cover and shoot them (with an AP mod on your gun). Level it to at least 4 maybe 5 (for power recharge and damage bonuses).

Its not needed if all you play is Firebase White Geth Gold!!

Otherwise its a useful feature however when I tried it out, only if the enemy get close I am able to see them but by then you might not be able to escape.
Still not sure wheter its a waste putting 6 into Health & Fitness.

Personally the turret is a good indicator to get a rough idea if the enemy is getting close but obviously no idea whats approaching.

Low Hardware and Hunter mode only works in FBWGG.

If you go random/random Gold with such low shields you will get lots of unexpected deaths.

so would leveling hunter mode up to 4 and leaving a bit of networked AI work out better?

Im running 64664 at present and doing extremely well with it. Its fragile, but if you continuously check your flanks and use the offenive turret as a distractiont tool, its very easy to avoid trouble. Being able to see through walls and smoke and the massive bonuses to chain overloading are totally worth it.

My friends and I use a support/healing 6/3/6/5/6 build.

The hunter mode is taken as a situational bonus, rather than as something which will be a staple of the build's gameplay.

Being able to see through walls is very beneficial, plus it does provide bonus damage. I could never see myself putting 0 points in it, but don't personally feel it is quite as useful at 6 as it would be on the infiltrator.

I cannot comment about its usefulness for an offensive turret build. If it increases the turret's damage, it might be reasonable at max. For a support turret build, it seems pointless since you can already strip shields very easily using Overload 6 with minimal hunter mode ranks.
