ya trhat ax  looks bas ass.Can someone jus t make a rock as a weapon.A few types would be cool.

Like a rock u pick up off the ground?

They might make a great throwable too, heh.

I'd think giants would want boulder sized ones for those pesky demi-humans :D

Stone Age/Tribal/Primative weps in general would be awesome too :)

Carcerian:

Both of those weapons exist actually.  the weighted clubs are already in NWN.. they came with the 1.67 content from Pirates of the Sword Coast that was patched in.

For your other primitive weapon needs, look no further than Nexorcists goodies..

_six! Fantastic!

Shemsu! Wicked!

Oh, I do really like this month's energy. Was rather unenthusiastic at the start, but there is so much invention and art of war up there that I'm happy as a pixie in honey!

Re: Musashi...

On April 13, 1612, Musashi (about age 30) fought his duel with Sasaki Kojirō, who was known as "The Demon of the Western Provinces" and who wielded a nodachi. Musashi came late and unkempt to the appointed place — the island of Funajima, in the Kanmon Straits separating Honshū and Kyūshū. The duel was short. Musashi killed his opponent with a bokken that legend says he had carved from an oar used on the boat that carried him to the island. Musashi's late arrival is controversial. Sasaki's outraged supporters thought it was dishonorable and disrespectful, while Musashi's supporters thought it was a fair way to unnerve his opponent. Another theory is that Musashi timed the hour of his arrival to match the turning of the tide. The tide carried him to the island. After his victory, Musashi immediately jumped back in his boat and his flight from Sasaki's vengeful allies was helped by the turning of the tide. Another theory states he waited for the sun to get in the right position. After he dodged a blow, Sasaki was blinded by the sun.

My hero :-) Oar vs No-dachi...
Musashi was The Man!

Can this be done? I thought that adding new ranged base item types to baseitems.2da was not supported, hence animations like the giants hurling rocks had to be accomplished by script.

Apparently Soul Filcher did something very similar:  Weapon: Orc Shotput

That is a shuriken replacement.  Meaning all shurikens now are orc shotputs.  No line was added.  If you want to replace a standard ranged weapon with a rock it would also be doable.  But as I understand it, adding a new ranged lines requires the hardcode to know that it exists to fill in the ammunition.2da linkage.  If the hard-code isn't changed you will have a weapon that sends out an error when you try to use it.

I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an error to the knee.

Don't you mean arrow?

Nope, It was a custom ranged weapon without a client hack.

I'll raise a mug to ye all. Them are fine work, indeed.

I've finished Red Mercy in her "normal" weapon form, save perhaps fer some animated texturing to her aura.

Next I'll craft her placeable form based on the story of the Caduceus.

Actually it's a staff, well maybe half-staff half-shillelagh.....

Shillelagh are now considered most any club or cane with a knotted bole on one end. Historically though, it was an uprooted sapling, with the root bole being treated for hardness, either by firing or bronzing it. The only limit on how big your stick was in that case would be how big a tree you decided to uproot.

What would be delicious is a shillelagh that was from tree planted on a corpse or gravesite, with the skull lodged in the bole...

Great stuff all! This challenge turned out very well. And all of those axes need to go into Arnheim.

Druid's staff

Some very nice results!

Random Idea: how about a druid staff who's top is a mini tree canopy?

It could be metal and iconic, say as per celtic druids, or more mystical, and actualy be a mini living treetop sprouting from the top of the druid's staff..
                 Posted Image
Another idea is a staff with leafy vines on it, possibly as an option for a druid staff's midsection. Perhaps roots on the bottom as an option too? Celtic tree roots could be rooted into a icon of the world, fantasy could be holding a gemstone or a crystal.
