I know textureing takes a while but rushing threw things doesnt really help the situation.maybe you just dont like it i dont blame you its a bit of a hasssel. But i would rather have complete things then incomplete things i wont use.your a good modeler but i just hate to see unfinished work.please pick something to add to the challenge that is complete instead of a bunch of incompletee things.sorry just being honest ,

Any specific examples beyond the first three things I created that need work?

Leather with some details would be nice.
So it is mostly some weapons that need better textures with more details while the models themselves are really well done, but there are also models that aren't so well done. Those are the staff of mirth and so on which really need better handles or grips or whatever that part of the weapon is called. Those bright colours can cause eye cancer:P and it's not just the colours but the whole handle.

Handle textures are tuff to find for sure, but will see what I can do
(I do agree there is room for improvement there.)
As a note the screenshots for the monster head staves just use the spellshard handles because I got
bored with using the bioware staves for screenshots... (And yeah the bright colors are not for everyone)
The spellshard ones are simple giant crystals (hopefully they look better ingame than lo-res screenies).
The heads themselves are aligned so that they can be used with any standard staff middle and bottom.

It includes four "leather wrap" textures and four "wood" textures that are good for weapon handles. It also has metal and gemstone textures that might look good with some of your models.
Many months' entries end up getting updated later on the Vault (in a "version 2" update), so if you decide to improve on your models, I see no reason not to if you find the time.
Edit: And, yeah, I also like many of the models you made for this month's challenge. I look forward to seeing more original things from you in the future.

I'll also contribute to this challenge at a later time. I'm planning to make a keris.
There are two previous challenges for which I wanted to make models but didn't have the time.
At the moment I am working on a rural tileset which will have elven buildings. Those will be my contribution to the challenge a few months ago.
I'll also create the mountain giant Rübezahl for the April challenge.

If those staves can be used with other staff handles, then they don't need any more work and they are okay the way they are. People like me who hate those bright colours can simply use different middle and bottom parts.
I hope you'll continue to contribute to the CCC Carcerian.

This has always been about having anyone participate and at this stage of the game, it's nice to still see this type of participation. As a builder, we have the choice to avoid certain content we might not be happy with or best of all, retexture for ourselves based on what we need to tell our story.
So, good work Carcerian!

I don't see the big deal here in Carcerian's weapon choices and their textures.

Did a bit more work on the bone Dark Sun Double-Axe's textures...

Made a leather wraped texture for the handle (hopefully looks a bit better).

On the axe: Nice leather texture! You know, you could consider using that same texture to create some leather to 'bind' the heads to the axe haft maybe. That'd set off those dual blades. Right now, it's a bit hard for me to see exactly how the heads are held in place. Not necessary, but something to consider.
great work!

They don't have to be a limited to Dark Sun either,
you could use for Primitives and Thri-Kreen everywhere

Luckily I'm not wicked and can get plenty of rest.
Carcerian, the leather on the axes makes a big difference and the knob on the end is an improvement, too.
And of course the wizard's staves need a knob on the end now.
