I think there should be like some type of playeable content after you beat dragon age aside from dlc's. Like maybe a special mode that unlocks where you kill hordes of darkspawn( this is a great way to test characters and perhaps have after game items or some cool unlockable stuff depending on the story;path you selected for your character). Maybe arena mode where you fight in-game characters for fun. I don't wanna have to depend on dlc's especially on how dragon age 2 was treated with it. Not saying the dlc's were bad they were realeased so far apart.

also in this topic who is getting Diablo3 my bf is ranting about it like crazy? Is it gonna be good?? never played the previous series so i wouldn't know.

Can I look forward to being called a douchebag if I participate in this thread? Aaaand, this forum is for DA2. If you want to chat about Diablo 3 there is a thead in the Off-Topic Forum.

Playing after the end works in some games but not others. It depends on the story DA is telling.

Yes, I'm getting Diablo 3.

Yea your right  but it doesn't have to do with anything of the story ; like you know how ummm tryna think of the game with hordes of zombies that theres diff level of horde zombies that attack you and they get stronger or they get like faster spawn time(its a game my bf plays) but imagine that based on darkspawn. It only unlocks when you beat the game

Usually Bioware fantasy RPG's have a definite ending, which would make it difficult to continue on. What I hope for, is that DA3 offers so many different possible paths to reach the ending, that it is not possible to see everything, in one, or even two or three playthroughs. I like to be able to replay, with new characters, but there has to be enough in the game that is unique for multiple playthroughs. DAO did this very well. Earlier Bioware games in the genre, did it even better.

An arena mode would be wonderful. An arena for infinite battles that gives rewards but no experience. That way you can test out party setups against different enemies to your heart's content and still not become overpowered.

Actually, what about a gladiator specialization for warriors that gets unlocked through the arena?

Horde mode. They did that with ME 3 MP.

Sure, I could see an arena mode where you just kill stuff.

If they added a mode like this, they would just go ahead and make it a Multiplayer mode. Which, given the nature of a zombie horde mode (i.e., something that has no bearing on the plot, takes place as just a way to spam countless enemies, etc.) wouldn't be a bad idea, since playing it by yourself could be a little boring.

That being said - no MP for DA3. My signature says it all for me.

If you want something to do in the game, replay the game with a different character. DA3 is almost certain to heavily involve the Mage-Templar War, so each faction could provide a distinctly different path in the game which if done properly means that you need to do at least 2 playthroughs to experience everything. DA3 needs more replay value not some gimmick that adds nothing to the story.

As long as it doesn't involve any story element from DA2. Let's get back to some wardens and blights and all that good stuff.

your so right on this and hopefully they do realize this aswell... since they ended the expansion proj for dage2 they should have plenty of time to make dage3 a great game.

not necissarily if you could use your companions to play this why would you need multiplayer. I also don't like the idea for multiplayer for dragon age but maybe in the future when they run out of ideas.

Making stealth more useful would be a welcome feature. It's a bread and butter skill for any rogue, but in DA2 you just did not need it.In Origins I used it for Laying traps, scouting, disabling traps, getting the upper hand pre battle on mages.Mind you when you chop and change so much that it completely undermines the rogue play style it's no wonder it was so useless.

i could say the same for warrior i like playing a templar warrior but templar spells/skills are just ok. Then i feel like berserker got nerfed in dragon age 2. My other class is rogue archer base dps is awesome but despite that gotta watch my health thats why i got stealth i used to remove any aggroo from my self
