Ok.  Based on what I have left to get weapon wise, am I better off spamming veteran packs or saving up and getting Spectre?

Wait until the premium spectre packs are back then go for them. Or if you can't wait, go for spectre packs.

Depends on what you want to unlock. Buy the packs that match the weapon rare-ness level you're wanting.

Spam vet packs until you have a couple of the uncommons up to X.

Your inventory is kind of similar to mine.

I've only been playing a couple weeks but when I first started I was getting all the Spectre, Premium Spectre, and Resurgence Packs I could. Doing so helped me fill out my characters cards (still missing GI though). Over the last week I've been getting as many Veteran packs and that's helping me to fill out the lower level weapons. But it's also helped me stock up on consumables - which is probably as much fun for me. Plus I've been getting more weapon mods that I didn't have.

So my plan is to keep spamming Veteran Packs for now (maybe another couple weeks) until I fill out more of my mods and weapon slots. Then I'll graduate to spamming Spectre packs for a bit...

Veteran packs are nice now and then, but I always prefer buying Spectre for the chance for an N7.

If I were you I would buy spectre so you can get a gun you want to use. Don't settle for crap, get the gun you want. Your mods look pretty good and those would be the only reason to buy veteran or recruit packs at all.

I don't recommend you to buy the veteran packs. Your better off with Premium Spectre packs if those are brought back this week or regular Spectre packs. The Veteran packs are only worth it if you need consumables, if your looking to max weapons quickly then Spectre packs are the way to go.

You're gonna get RNGed either way. If you buy Veteran you're gonna get the Incisor. If you buy Specters you're gonna get the Arc and other junk.

I'm going to completely disagree and say you should only buy the lowest level pack for the rarity that you haven't maxxed out yet. Specter packs are a waste since you're spending 60k credits and could end up with things you could have gotten for 20k. I generally stick with recruit still and have gotten no less than 5 golds out of them anyways. Esp since the uncommon weapons are generally just as decent as the gold ones.

I like to max out each type of weapon before I go on to spamming the next tier of recruitment packs. I first got all the starter characters and weapons to max using Recruit packs, now I'm doing the same with Veteran packs, eventually I'll move on to Spectre/Premium Spectre packs.

But that's just me though. I have a bit of OCD about maxing weapons before I move on to the next thing.

I've stopped trying to max out uncommons with veteran packs because all I get are character cards, which are maxed already. At least with Spectre packs, you can knock out two birds with one slightly more expensive stone hopefully.

If I were in your shoes :

Move up to gold.
Buy a spectre pack after every round.

Pair up your GPS-3 with a TS or KV, as they're not too squishy and are more forgiving to mistakes than an adept.
Easiest starting character for gold would be an SI, but you lack a good rifle...
But if you can rock an adept, then don't even worry about your guns.

Then later on you can collect the common stuff as something to kill time with.

Considering that having a rarity maxed seems to mean that every weapon of that rarity you would have gotten is replaced with a character cards, spamming slow level packs until you max out a rarity just means that once you get up to spectre packs you get almost nothing but character cards, so i would say going straight to spectre pack is a million times better idea.

I'm exactly the same as you, completely skipped Veteran packs before going back for them once i found that I could do with some mods for my sniper. Now i've started using AR's i've gone back to Veterans again to get AR mods and the Vindicator to X (would be my luck that Vindicator is now my lowest ranked uncommon weapon).

it really is, even at level 1 those gold weapons are better than any of ur crappy common and uncommon X level weapons.

Buy premium packs only. Buy which ever is currently out. Don't bother buying regular version of either unless you want items also.

If you buy the Vet packs exclusively, you'll unlock all the Uncommon X guns really quickly.

you all failed to make this easy. LOL.

Thanks though. I'm still forming a consensus...however, the lure of an N7 weapon in a spectre pack is swaying me.

Can I ONLY get rare items with Spectre?

Depends on the gun... and which class you have it on.

you can get a rare item in vet packs but there's not a good chance of it. spectre packs you are garunteed a rare.
