I feel this game beats other 10/10 titles hands down it may not have a deep RPG system ECT but it never pretends to. As a sci-fi shooter driven by a personal story that we control it does to perfection . the dilog, the music, the narrative, the enemies ( collectors) the squad mates , the final suicide mission is jaw dropping . its ending is not just better than mass effect 3 most the game is on many many levels ...
SKYRIM is a other great game but it has flaws tho i feel it does what it sets out to do very very well as a fantasy open world adventure IN HINDSIGHT there are issues 1 for a fantasy game the enimes are weak by weak i mean plain design.
skyrim gives llusion of scope when really this massive world is massivly underpopulated , there are copy and paste issues everywere the giant is a grand eg of this just one giant sped across the world.... also the game has other issues such as the fact you can be leader of every guild, thane of every hold is just bad storytelling . i was arch mage and i knew 2 weak spells i was leader of thief guild and had little to no sneak or thief skills at all also the main quest is very very short ..
I love skyrim still play it just making the point that mass effect 2 does a better job of been what it is than skyrim ...
just wanted to share and pass on love for mass effect 2
I KNOW I WONT BE AGREED WITH ON ALL COUNTS BUT TO DENY MASS EFFECT 2 AS TOP TIER IN GAMING THIS GENERATION WOULD BE DENIAL
Mass Effect 2 so far is the game of this generation

Ehhhh, I love ME2, but it really did go away from it's RPG roots. The reason why I fell in love with the first game. Plus, no sequel is as good as the first one.
And to say ME2 is better then ME3 is a longshot. True, ME2 didn't have a horrible ending, but the ending was pretty iffy. Then the fact that in ME2, Bioware ripped Ashley and Liara from my hands and gave me Miranda and Jack. (Dear lord do I despise Miranda and Jack. Jack is better in ME3, but in ME2, she was just a annoying brat)

I respect your opinion but i thought mass effect 2 beat the 3rd in every sense lets compare shall we... in me2 you travel the galexy searching for the hardest, most powerfull it has to offer in a attempt to destroy the collectors a enemy so deadly there existance is even doutede and stories of them are by most put down to nothing but myth and horror stories...
you gather your crew and head to a suicide mission were you pass though the omega 4 relay a relay no other ship known has ever come back from !!! crew members live or die on every command you make
ME3 you travel the galaxy in an attempt to make peace and unite other races to your cause and gather allies to help take back earth whislt doing so you gain war assests which make 0 diff either way the reapers lose only diff is if you have a a bad score you get choice of 2 colour explostions!!
the side missions in mass effect 3 are all fetch quests thats right the entire future of certain species lies in your ability to fetch some item off some random planet ...
i think the writting the narrative even the acting was better in ME2 not to mention the 12 badass squad members in me2 compared to what kaiden james liara garrus and tali LOL really
dont get me wrong me3 had the better music and gameplay but thats it

Yeah I agree Sergeant Dre, I just started playing the game with an ME1 import character, and noticed straight away how limited you are with gun adaptions and armour (although the blood dragon armour looks great), you have to look at your wepons and armour stats from a locker, and pick and choose from there, rather than on the fly like ME1, it's another interesting aspect of the game though. Currently on Omega helping out...someone, damn this game is a lot of talking before you get anywhere.
