Man, I imported my male Shepard that romanced Liara in ME1 but then romanced Miranda in ME2.  Out of nostalgia, I rekindled the romance with Liara, figuring this Shepard always loved her even though he had a fling with Miranda.

But when I ended things with Miranda I was totally not expecting her reaction.  She turns from you and cries!  Then, even though she tries to hold it together, she has tears streaming down her face.  I felt like the biggest jerk and almost wanted to reload the game to choose to continue the romance.  Seriously, I know it sounds funny or cheesy but I felt really crappy in real life.

Anyone else have this reaction?

Yes. :'( I thought that moment was one of the strongest out of all the romance scenes and I get REALLY immersed in games.

Haha, but I know what you mean, I could never break up with her after hearing what her reactions were. Hopefully this does harden us for real life drama!

Nope AKUZE! YOU CERBERUS BASTARDS! I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!! erh I mean I never really liked the Cerberus cheerleader so most of my male shepards stayed with Laira or shacked up with Tali. Think I may have one Jack romanced one somewhere but until the ec it isn't really a priority.

When my shep broke up with liara she was just like "fu*k you" so this is intresting.

I don't really get people who hate Miranda and also those who prefer Jack, who is a less developed and has almost no progression in her personality, over Miranda. I know people who disliked Miranda so much they didn't even let her develop (loyalty mission etc) to see if she changes or not.

I'm going to have to look for a video too since it never crossed my mind to not continue my romance with Miranda. <3

Shiiiiiii.... Oh no... I am so glad I romanced my cheerleader in ME2 and ME3, this would have broken my heart

I have a Miranda playthrough in my saves but seeing that the romance had a very little part in the game, compared to Tali's, I wasn't very tempted to play that one yet. (that and the ending of course made it so it doesn't matter)

I think someone already posted a link to the video, but basically you tell her you guys should just be friends.

But the thing is, the camera isn't focused on you, it's focused on Miranda.  And you see the sheer heartbreak register on her face, as if you just, I don't know, stabbed her or something.  Then she tries to keep it together but has to turn away from you, and she starts to cry!

She never faces Shepard for the rest of the conversation, but occasionally turns to the side and you can see tears streaming down her face.  Then she runs out of the room saying "She'll try to keep in touch."

It was heart wrenching.  For real.

IMO, if you romanced someone in ME1 and then found someone new in ME2, you should stick with your ME2 LI. It seems like the right thing to do (unless it's Jacob, of course). I don't even really like Miranda and doing that to her still seems incredibly cruel to me.
