She loves Shepard but won't admit it. Google the video of her where she says goodbye to Shepard when you romance her. She.........almost says something but she doesn't.
This hurts me Bioware.

Yea, the lacking of her playing a significant role, and the players inability to reach out to contact her outside of the storyline's pre-determined inclusion of her caused a disconnect between me, and the role i was intended to play as a Shep that romances Miranda. I think she comes forward and says the "L' word, if you romance her and she dies during the sanctuary mission, check you tube vids.
It's sad that BW had to kill her character to 'fufill' that relationship's arc in a sense, becuase the goodbye before the harbinger beam between a romanced Miranda - Shep leaves sooo much unfinished business.
Taboo - You see the character for her depth, almost purely;), thats admirable - and goes to show the quality of the writing that introduced/evolved her character in ME2. So sad it lacked so hard in ME3.
I loved how in ME2 your reward from interaction with the characters, matched-exceeded the time you invested as the narrative evolved. With Miranda specifically, she starts out cold/snotty/stuck-up (and extremely babeish) but evolves into something much, much more (while retaining her status of 'mega-babe'). Defintely hope they do some sort of DLC or improve her, and other ME2 romances in the EC.

lol how can you even compare Miranda to Liara? Totally different league.
That's not fair. Everyone has a different LI, and for different reasons. Personally, I love Liara. For my own reasons.
But I also understand what people see in Miranda. To be honest, if Liara wasn't in the game, Miranda would be my second option. I like that you have to crack her shell to see whats underneath, and that there IS something underneath. Her character turned out to be a lot deeper than initially expected in ME2, and they carried it over fairly well in ME3. Her character, not her romance. Her romance seemed pretty disapointing, like all the ME2 romances did. Good job, Bioware. Still, I would say she probably had the best out of the ME2 lot.
But don't try to compare the LI's. It's all a matter of personal preference. The same with real world LI's. Everyone likes someone for different reasons. We're all different, so that only makes sense.
I love Liara. But other people love Miranda, Ashley, Jack, Tali... etc. That's one of the great things about Mass Effect. So many great choices.
Personal opinion? Liara is easily the best. That's my personal opinion, and no one will change that. Just like someone who loves Miranda or Tali believes the same thing. Its all up to you and what you like. No one choice is really 'better', its just whatever personality, character, and appearance you like. Liara is just basically the perfect description of what I look for in a girl (personality, smarts, character, even her looks. I think she is really pretty. I'll avoid 'beautiful' so as to not be cheesy, but I do believe she is beautiful.). And this is odd to find that in a video game, but alas I did. Now if I can only find a real Liara... so far, no luck.
Don't feel so bad buddy. It's not easy. I'm right there with you. A lot of women don't appreciate nice men. I'm not saying that all don't but the ones I have run across sure as hell don't.

She is such a very under utilized character as many of the Characters in the game are. Even if you don't romance her she should have played more of a role in the story and their should have been more developement around that, especially with he connections to Cerberus. It really bugs me that Bioware just chucked to side such good characters for god knows what.

Well, its not just that. I can't even FIND a woman like Liara. With her personality, character, and smarts. Most would all rather just immediately get laid, high, or wasted. Sorry, but that's not my definition of a good time nor what I want to do with my girl. My first girlfriend was a freaking mistake, and one I will never make again.
Point is, I've learned its worth waiting for the best. And someday I'll find her, but the wait is sickening. And yeah, not many good ones still exist. Anywho... that's why I love Liara. She fits the model of a woman I could love. Someone distinguished, with class, and intelligence, while also having a damn sexy voice and beautiful face.

I didn't feel a thing. She can't have babies anyway, what's the point? No long-term potential, yo.
Which is probably one of the most emotionally devastating things that a woman can learn. She cannot produce life.
That's really sad dude.
The emotional bearing it must have on her is tremendous.
Yeah ^ this definitely, reading that from the dossiers added alot of depth to her character.. She was designed to be perfect. No real mother, just her father and his cheimcal/scientific expertise. I imagine for her, having/raising a child was a path of redemption. She wanted a baby to raise and grow from her, the natural way, not something designed for the purpose of perfection. She wanted a child to grow through the natural growing pains, and imperfections that beset us as youth coming up in the world, and then guide her in a way that no one guided her. You know, what a mother does.
After reading the dossiers, you see shes kinda haunted by that.. Probably a big reason why shes so driven, she feels shes been robbed of the chance to do the things that she wants to do, in the way she wants to do them. She wanted her sister to grow up the right way, so she kidnapped her. She wanted to have kids and raise a family, but she cant as a result of her 'condition' which was probably designed to be there (by her father). So shes kinda trapped in a situation where she has to take advantage of her 'perfection', something she's ashamed of, to even have a chance at doing the things she wants. Shes trapped in a paradox of her wants/needs and shame of her looks/abilities.
Raising her own children to achieve on their own accord, would have been retribution for her. I thought that actually made her more desireable, to see how her wants/desires were so... human.
And that's why she's my favorite character.
This.
The greatness of Miranda was summed up perfectly in that post.

A lack of time and usage. I hope she gets more screen time. Moreso at the end.
I can live with her having as small a role as she does in ME3 is Sheaprd can reunite with her in the end.

Really, this scene broke my heart. Thank god i kept my loyalty to her, always. But i also love it because she doesn't go: "oh well too bad it was nice at least lets stay friends". You can trully see it destroys her heart. It made me love her even more, if it's possible. Here is praying more content for her, pretty please bioware

It appears so, yes. Apparently there's some piece of information you give her that's vital for her survival, but if you broke up with her she never asks. But an unromanced Miranda is OK.SNascimento wrote...

Does anyone know if she ever asks for Alliance resources if you broke up with her. Does she even contact you again?
Of course I never break up with her. I have zero reason to, as opposed to Ash in ME2, where the game gives me a good excuse. It's a well-made scene, though. She speaks almost normally but you see the tears streaming down her face. She won't show her feelings to the jerk who just broke up with her, but can't hold it in completely. And Shepard....well....his lines are cheap. "We can't go back to what we were." Hmph. But going back to what you were with Ashley or Liara, that's ok?
@Elyiia:
You can cheat: Confirm Miranda's romance, then reject her by implication, i.e. by affirming your ME1 romance. Miranda will go back to the state "unromanced", but she won't die. At least that's what I've heard.

Bad programming, rather. I don't really mind, since she gets singled out for a break-up death, and the list of her survival conditions is longer than anyone else's. Someone on the team must've wanted her dead badly. Still, she got a better deal than Thane or Jacob.Elyiia wrote...
Yeah, if you say you're still together then cheat on her she stays alive which is crazy. So much for consequences for cheating on your LI.
mirage2154:
Fortunately, the reason for her infertility is open to interpretation. As I see it, this was a bad attempt at painting genetic engineering as bad. Also I won't ever reject Miranda, but she got mangled rather badly as a character by ME3.
