I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'm relatively new to the forums and I'm curious. Did you design your character to resemble yourself?

My human noble looks more like me than my city elf -- my current userpic -- does. I guess we have the same hair color, but that's about it!

I did! Other than the skin tone (the portrait bleaches the chosen tone), I achieved a reasonable facsimile of my real appearance.

I tried to make a character that resembles me (even had a mirror on hand to help) but failed. Not so much a game problem as my own; my brother got all the humanoid artistry skills in the family. None of the eyes in this game match mine, so that was one issue. Of course, it would be freaky to see myself in a game; hasn't happened yet. :D

Yeah...my girlfriend had a joygasm when she saw the character creator. She immediately jumped on and designed a character to look like me.

My avatar? I wish. She's my idealized self-portrait.

That's probably what a lot of folks have done. My human noble is the same way. Idealized, with the added bonus of facial tattoos, hahah.

Sort of, as much I can, I don't have that neat facial tatoo however.

Ha ha I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that does this. I think I managed to achieve some similarities but it's not exactly picture perfect.

Mine is based off myself, but I wasn't too concerned with the details. The only game where I try to create myself completely accurately is the sims :P

I tired to make a char that looks like me but the facial hair resets the facial shape. mutter.

Actually, I look quite a bit like my avatar. I was freaked out when I seen allistair because we're not so different, except for the nose. I really hope Mass Effect 2 borrows some of Dragon Age's character creation utilities because I HATED how my Mass Effect characters looked and there was no way, using the tools provided, to make them any better looking.

Yup. Exactly like my avatar. Including the glowing blue eyes.

I should probably see a doctor about that....

Sorry...couldn't resist.

I couldn't make my avatar look like me...Duncan was already taken.

Well, my beard looks like Duncan's at least.  Just manlier.  And redder.
