Looks pretty much like me aside from the elf-ears.

I've made three characters and none of them look like me. My picture, the city elf rogue Kallian, is my favorite.

I did a ton of characters, but lets check out my personal "main". Lets see:

- I dont have white hair
- I dont have dark brown skin (closest I could get to DARK GRAY skin grr)
- I have no tattoo in my face
- I dont have pale blue eyes (closest I could get to RED or VIOLETT eyes grr)
- I dont have pointy ears

So no, not really.

Otherwise I have 2 eyes 1 nose 1 mouht 2 ears too. And I'm also male. Does that count ?

Mine looks like I did about 30 years ago.
I originally made a more current looking one but I couldn't stand a bloke who was younger than me calling me "pup" :?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

But seriously, not being young doesnt work for ANY of the Origins.

I think my wife would be real disappointed if I looked like my character (current avatar).

The rest of us would be fine with it.  YouTube would have a problem with the vids though... =P

I tired to make a char that looks like me but the facial hair resets the facial shape. mutter.

I read about the character generator make the cheeks fall in when cycling through facial hair settings. It was suggested to first design the face without facial hair and then click directly on the proper facial hair setting. Maybe it works, if remembering correctly where the slider has to be for the wanted beard...

On topic: My mage has no beard anyway (like me). Other than that: Perhaps there are a few similarities, but in fact I'd need a diet to come closer to my avatar. And I have no tattoo and less/thinner hair... and I wear no platemail, even if it would be good for the sake of losing some extra pounds around my hips... hehe

Outside of the goatee, not really. I rock an awesome goatee in real life, and its awesomeness bleeds over to almost all male characters I make. Real men have beards, oh yeah.

Other than that, not at all. Not even eyebrows (damnit); because thick eyebrows are utterly impossible to make tilt down in character creator or the tool set.

Sliders are too limited in my opinion, both me and my wife were unable to recreate ourselves despite many many attempts.

Luckily for you, my first game char (avatar) looks nothing like me. While playing this long, fascinating game, I wanted to look at someone pretty. My Dalish Elf is camouflaged in such a way that I imagine her hiding in a copse of trees without being seen, bow at the ready -- until it's too late for the enemy to react. Oh well, I can dream, right? I've got to say, however, that this small avatar does not do Featheryn justice. She is much prettier in cutscenes. In fact, I think she is quite stunning. Good work, Bioware, on the Char Creator!

Lucky me, i don't. Would be a bad experience for gender benders imo.

But my g/f thinks i'm looking like Alistair. But that can't be true, he doesn't have an EVE-Online tattoo :P

I'd like to know if any of you is looking like other chars in the game, would be more interessting imo :)

Yes, I did try to make it a bit like me. Not so much in the looks, but in the attitude.

Also, in real life I don't have the Werewolves' yellow eyes, and I have long hair.

In any game with a character editor I try to make the char look like myself - or what I might look like in the given circumstances. Fallout 3 and Guitar Hero / Rock Band for example. I even modded games like Max Payne and Mafia to have myself in the game (those were the days when I had more free time).

When I play a female char (really seldom though), I design it after my sister (pretty much =myself in female) or after my girlfriend.

In DAO I designed my elven and human characters after myself, but the dwarf is an exception, he's designed and named after my DSA warrior dwarf. :) We only got in common to be dark-haired and bearded.

True, My hair is supposed to be much longer.  The ponytail goes to the middle of my back rather than just past my shoulder :P

But yeah, they took out many of the "long hair" options in general.

My character is a dwarven female, so no, not really.

Maybe I'll make a human noble later on though that looks something like me.

Apparently it takes some work to create someone with black features on the CC, so I doubt this would be possible for me.

However, I just noticed this.

Perhaps those people who feel that it's really hard to get the skin color right for a black character have frame buffer effect on ?

I think this frame buffer effect causes the game to brighten unnaturally and dark brown skin might look like crap with that effect on.
