There has always been a very small pool of popular requests which are actually practical, versus those that are not. 

Male quarians are practical, because they have full animation sets thanks to NPCs like Kal'Reegar and anonymous NPCs. Protheans have full animation sets. Vorcha have full animation sets.

Volus? Hanar? Elcor? They have partial animation sets for social contexts, but nothing for combat.

Certainly true. And I am not saying that Bioware would not react to what fans are asking for; that would be a sound strategy! I want to eventually play vorcha, myself. 

The difference is that the Resurgence rumors had the source and then supporting evidence, not just an empty claim. Although as I am researching several rumors attached to this thread, I am becoming more convinced that there may be substance here. MAY be.

It seems logical that this update would be coming. The new maps I have no reason to doubt. Vorcha was wildly asked for besides Volus which can pop up in a later update. The "Phoenix" can be anything, but Prothean seems very logical since Hanar and Elcor haven't been SP team members. as for the weapons they can be anything. The Particle Rifle doesn't seem likely since it is a DLC add-on.

Honestly I can believe this news.

i dont' even get why people want vorcha...i doubt any vorcha would be skilled enough to be N7 quality...they are just cannonfodder.. :/

I love how everyone has been asking for Protheans in MP and as soon as they are everyone is already hating.

I'm way more excited about a male QE. The female has been one of my favorites for the past couple of weeks but would like a slight tweak in powers and it would be great if it didn't feel like I was playing Tali all the time.

Except when the Reapers took the Citadel in the Reaper/Prothean War it fractured their center of government and different areas of Prothean resistance became confused and virtually separated from the rest of the empire...

So ya, unless Javik had a checklist for every Prothean, I highly doubt that he truly knows that he's the last one... I think it's just an assumption he makes.

Well...good way to make javik less interesting i guess....If protheans become avaliable the tiny bit of immersion there is in multiplayer dissappears sadly.
