oh yes more multiplayer dlc how about the part that alot of players care about too? the singleplayer..you know the whole reason we fell in love with mass effect?
Wrong forum, broski.
On topic, the only reason I haven't entirely shut this rumor out of my mind is because Bioware has gone out of its way to put down false rumors before. And they haven't yet with this one.

I bet the phoenixes are protheans. Don't forget javiks dlc name is from ashes, and phoenixes rise from ashes. Just thinking out loud.
Yeah guaranteed to be Protheans imo. Back from the dead and all.

Adding Protheans would be cool but nonsensical.

No, the phoenixes are obviously literal phoenixes. They can fly and have as their powers Incinerate, carnage, and inferno grenade. If they're killed by Pyros or grenades then they instantly respawn with full health and shields. It's so obvious.
About time someone figured it out!

Apparently their servers went kaput, so no MP or SP.

If protheans are going to be added, they'll be added. If this prospective DLC is more than a rumor and they're in it, the decision's already been made. Personally, I hope that's not the case -- but I'm not going to be a fangirl for or butthurt whiner against.
Pointless flamewar is pointless.
Biggest fail: Every page has at least one ****** sharing the "revelation" that "From Ashes" and "Phoenix" have the potential for connection. Here's a gold star for effort -- (*). Now go rest your brain; maybe tomorrow you can solve world hunger, or at least figure out how to tie your shoes.

I was just playing MP...
I have no idea for certain, my copy is still circulating through my group of friends (saving them a bit of money), but there seems to be a problem for some people.

That's such a stupid argument. You're essentially saying that no one should ever be criticized for a mistake.

Not really, it gave us something to do for the last two days while MP was down.

If it's true i really hope this "rebellion pack" and future mp dlcs will be free; they can finance them with the microtranslations and keep the people paying mp.
I think most would be free, but if they added new game modes they would charge for that.

Yeah, worst case scenario, they'll half-cut future DLC, splitting it into two sides, one (consisting of weapons, characters and equipment) to allow the content to be acquired through the store, and the other (consisting of maps, enemies and new gametypes) to be paid for much like conventional map packs. People will have to download something anyway, else otherwise people without the DLC would be unable to play with those who do, as the characters, equipment and weapons do not exist on the disc (in a fully functioning manner). They could do this either by patching it in or making it DLC, both are common methods that companies introduce matters in.

Free is the new gold/richness/$$$$. Cos micro transactions = win.
They could of course make it obtainable through money only, but still, loads of angry players = less players overall, and likely less money in the long run.

A suprisingly true fact. They benefit more from people making microtransactions than they do every person paying 800 MS points (as an example). This is primarily because it is voluntary. If you force someone to give money to charity, they don't like it, if you tempt them into doing it, they feel good about themselves. plus, a one-time purchase only gives a short-term increase, while multiple optional purchases allows for more money to be made long-term.
