New game modes for MP would be nice too the wave combat is getting a little old.
I personally wouldn't mind a last stand kind of mode, pretty much the same exact thing as we have now, only without the objectives, and you go untill your squad is dead, each wave you complete adds to your total earnings. I'd love role playing that, stranded on a remote firebase against the repear horde. Just like the last mission of Halo: Reach.
Id like that if it wasnt in waves.
The enemies should keep coming at a steady rate, so you need to kill them quickly or you get over run.
But its just one long wave with no breaks. The longer you last, the more money you get.
I think you would need some breaks for ammo or just to catch your breath.
Hmm, parhaps, have an objective, that is always available, say like, hack a terminal to access ammo lockers, or hack a security system to active a temperary defense system that will destract the enemies to give you time to re-group and re-arm. Would love to have Hackett as the voice over. Say your shuttle was shot down, and they're unable to reach you that deep in Reaper territory, have Hackett give you that "Give em' hell" speech you always hear when a team is left for dead. Would to hear Hackett saying that. God speed team, Hackett out. But not hear him throughout the mission, just silence after that, so you really get that feel of being left for dead. Only hear him again when everyone has died, and you hear him over the radio. You know, the usual, "Team, this Hackett, do you copy? I repeat, do you copy?" , "We've lost contact with them.", etc.
