 Plus it would be a really retarded move from the developers part...they were so butthurt defending the crappy ending with artistic integrity , then they'd just undo the whole point of Javik , and everything that makes him a cool character.. so much for artistic integrity..

No were getting a directors cut.. just some more cutscenes and clarification.. i think most ppl were hoping for a re-write..but we're getting off-topic , im just saying that including protheans is a sloppy move from a respected RPG company as bioware is , as they'd undo a really cool part of the ME universe , i'm not saying they wont do it or that its totally not doable...just saying i rather they dont, since javik being the last prothean is kinda the whole thing about him as a character...and i think ME multiplayer should work within the ME Singleplayer and not the other way around...not re-write stuff jsut because ppl want to run around as protheans, Just my opinion , i can see why ppl would want to play as protheans , i just dont think its worth it

They screwed lore for 2 games anyway with the introduction of javik in me3. I just hope the directors cut lives up to something as i'm dying to know what happened to my teammates.

Dont get me wrong but i'm a lore fan in many games (halo/GoW/ME/fallout etc.) but yeah when I play halo or GoW I just know that when you got 5 Marcus fenixes vs 5 Marcus fenixes in MP its no lore game anymore.

I see it like this : story is the main part of why I buy a game (excluding CoD/BF3/D3 etc.) and THE MP is just a Nice extra that isnt related to SP so you dont have to worry about lore and just relax while playing awesome characters.


As well as a veteran wow player (7years and still counting) i got screwed by lore several times. Onyxia was slain 3 times. Kel'thuzad was slain 2 times. The almighty firelord ragnaros had to be slain 2 times and out of nothing hè had legs. Any game Will screw up lore at some point.

The issue about people saying "GoW or Halo MP doesn't follow lore, so why should ME3" is that Bioware have stated several times that MP will follow lore.

Yep, thats why we fight geth in a Cerberus base surrounded with ice and Cerberus on menae.

There are already many unlogical things in the MP :

- justicars,......
- 300k drell left yet every player can have 2

Yea but the selling point of ME3 multiplayer was that it would have SOME immersion...may it be alittle but atleast some.. I feel like im playing the same ME as my single player does.. just with a random soldier fighting some smaller battles , im not feeling it as campaign is this other thing and this is just multiplayer and another part of the game... I dont expect this from halo or GOW , but from ME i kinda expect the lore to work in MP , which it does if you let yourself immerse somewhat haha..granted ,a pink krogan can pull you out of the immersion but whatever...the main point is that the selling point was that MP would feel like it was connected to SP..which it does for me at least ^^ , i can understand how it doesnt do that for others.. but that doesnt excuse them to just do whatever with the MP.. IMO

People seem to be forgetting that developers have the power of the pen at their disposal. They can retcon the lore whenever they like; it's their lore.

So trying to come up with all the reasons why Protheans cannot exist is a pointless task. The developers only need one reason why they could exist to add them into the game.

Phoenix equals on of three things:

Ex-Cerberus: Phoenix is ancient Roman/Greek like a lot of their stuff ex. Centurions, Cerberus, Atlas.
Prothean: Phoenixes rise from ashes and Javik's DLC was called From Ashes.
Raloi: They are birdlike and Phoenixes are birds.

Ex-Cerberus would not be biotics, would they? Also, the amount of people asking for Ex-Cerberus is far lower than people asking for Protheans or even Raloi.

Rebellion might not mean anything, like resurgence.

Phoenix might just be a different variation of a current character.

We dont really have anything substantial to go on.

If the Pheonix classes were soldiers or engineers or really anything not an adept/vanguard, I would have been inclined to believe they were ex-Cerberus. But as they are biotic users, I'm more inclined to believe in the Prothean theory. Now, rebellion... Hmmm, Cerberus made Prothean clones rebelling against them? Why would they, they wouldn't even know they were Prothean. Hm... Would they have some of Javik's memories? Or is just the fact they would be Prothean enough to make them know who they are? That fancy sensory ability of theirs. Hmm. Would they know what indoctrination even is? If so, would they know it was bad and detect it in Cerberus and rebel? SO many questions.

Resurgence was the resurgence of the batarians after being wiped out by the Reapers.
