Why is everyone assuming Phoenix means Prothean?

Phoenix - Rising "From Ashes"- Javik's DLC- Prothean

Thats a bigger stretch than the Indoctrination Theory...

Or you're dumber than a sack of ripe potatoes and twice as likely to cause a famine.

Considering I just wrote a ****ing master thesis on 19th century Chinese history...I think you may be exagerrating a bit.

Book smart and unable to use simple deduction to attain a logical conclusion based upon limited evidence, your intelligence lies in a place apart from your Salarian user avatar.

If this DLC is true and they are prothean, then I shall come to you and agree on your assesment.

But logically speaking, this is not simple deduction, this is a case of confirmation bias.

This actually reminds me of something. Here's an example for you Revrant. Let's say I have a dilemma, and I ask both an intelligent, and an average person how to solve it. The dilemma being, "I have this piece of invaluable and technologically advanced piece of equipment that my enemy is trying to obtain. What should I do about that?" Now the smart person would come up with some overly complicated and convoluted plan on how to prevent that. But if I ask the average person, he'd say. "You know what you do? let them take it, and when they ride off into the victorious sun set, you blow their @ss to kingdom come!" Now the intelligent person would just call that lowly and barbaric, and would never consider doing that. But in all actuality, your killing two birds with one stone so to speak. He says barbaric, I say ingenious! Not only are you removing said item they're trying to acquire, but you're also getting rid of said person trying to acquire it as well. If the scientists had their way, we'd just sit around running tests, tests, and more tests till the end of time, and never actually get anything done ever again. You need a retard or two to run in and press a few buttons to get things going. John doe leaves his sandwich out on the counter over night like a retard, get's mold, and discovers new medicine. It seems, at least in the case of the people I've met, the smarter they become, the less open they are to conventional thinking. Why shoot that guy? When I can create a molecular dissemination ray? Far more refined than simply shooting someone. But, yet again, I digress. Back to the topic at hand.

DLC named rebellion.. would make moe sense for it to be Ex-cerberus since cerberus has Greek names like pheonix and there could be ''rebellions''

also Raloi? really people? lool..

Ex-Cerberus would not be biotics, would they? Also, the amount of people asking for Ex-Cerberus is far lower than people asking for Protheans or even Raloi.

Jacob and Miranda are ex-Cerberus biotics.

But all the generic troops, who would be the guys you played as in multiplayer, have no biotic abilities.

The generic troops are **********SPOILER***************** indoctrinated huskified individuals. They wouldn't be the ones rebelling. The ranking cerberus officers, who can have biotics would be the only ones capable of quitting.

But most people who want Ex-Cerberus want troops like Guardians and Phantoms, which is why I used that example. Honestly, I don't want any more humans.

Not with the data we have now, no. Why the idea? It does support up to 4 drell/justicar/geth though, and that was the only point I was making.

Mind you, even one living prothean was "unsupported" before the DLC. Like it or not, lore can be written, like the whole games and books were in the first place. If background appears that makes up to 4 protheans possible, then yes, every player can have a prothean vanguard and adept without breaking lore, just like everyone has a Shepard.

Exactly. They can write them in just as they can write characters off. They are capable of giving some form of explanation towards the possibility. Personally though, I would strongly prefer them to actually make a full DLC on Protheans if it is their intentions of adding them, seeing as though they are a colossal part of the ME galaxy. Not to say that if it shows up I'll have a hissy-fit, I'd just have preferred a big DLC upon it, no a "cameo" appearance in a DLC pack.

Exactly. Protheans are a big deal, and adding them via a small MP DLC pack would be kind of insulting. If the MP DLC was released alongside a Prothean SP DLC, then I would support it.

Edit: Also, this SP DLC could add Collectors, as Reapers find more stasis pods, and send the remaining Collector forces to capture the Protheans.

We easily could get a new MP mod where u must to choose between different classes of Protheans and defending a place from Collectors waves. At last wave, you have to defeat a Reaper. Could be named "FlashBack Mod".

And it's Lore viable ofc!

Look at the previous DLC pack that was released. Three weapons were also made available as with the characters. Those were a Krogan AR, a Geth SMG and a Batarian SR. They release weapons to follow the trend of the characters released. Seeing as this will include three new races, I think that if this is true, we can expect one "pheonix" weapon, one vorcha weapon and a Quarian weapon as well. That is of course, provided that they continue in the way they did previously.

Clearly he means a new Quarian weapon be added to the mix, I think he would prefer running around with two same-theme weapons, rather than a quarian pistol and a turian AR or something.

Yeah, I can imagine a Vorcha shotgun, Prothean Particle Rifle, and maybe a Quarian Sniper or SMG.

It'll probably be a Quarian SMG or AR. Don't really think it'll be a sniper rifle. Who knows though?

Vorcha Pistol?
Quarian Shotgun?
Prothean Particle Rifle?

Those sound the best in my opinion. We got an Assault Rifle, SMG and Sniper in the last DLC. So it would make sense to include a shotgun and pistol in this one.

I just imagine Vorcha as being the shotgun type. Most pistols are precision weapons, and Vorcha don't go well with precision.

Well I was thinking more along the lines with the Vorcha being quick and nimble but weak...too weak to use a shotgun.

Maybe their pistol could fire in three-burst shots or something (like a handheld Vindicator)

How do you know they aint jusy going to kill you anyway? let them take it? what if your life/ country/ Earth depends on it? or although you won your little battle, this will cause you the war? You can't just make up one senario and call it a day. Extremely unprofessional and illogical justification you are giving.

Protheans will prolly be soulless ginger clones. Javik will suggest to throw them out of the airlock, but then everyone in alliance command will argue about how they can use them as platforms for sentient consciousness.

So they'll become like those blue monkeys in Avatar.
No other protheans were saved.
There are no actual other protheans alive.
Just organic shell made from Javiks poo, along with other fine cuisine that was made from that.

TA DAAAAAA!!!!

How to solve the "but there's only one prothean alive" thing:

The prothean is Javik. You can only have one of them in a match. It will be rolled for by some RNG.
Those other three players will instantly leave the lobby to try their luck again. Everyone will be mad.

Hurr durr. Image IPB

Word made it that Phoenix aren't Protheans. These are ultra-durable long-extinct creatures.

Again the lore discussion about MP emerges. Again I recall the obvious.

Strategically. Significant. Husks.

strategically significant husks are just gameplay mechanics..introducing a new species into the MP that is extinct is lore breaking..unless they make up some rdicolous reason for it...and that would just be dumb.. IMO
