Theres that word again, who says it's rediculous if Bioware is the one who made it?  Imo Javik could be just as rediculous.

Actually, it may not be. All we know is that it was used by the Quarians, or at least one was in the posession of a Quarian around 200 years ago. Look at it this way: The Belgian FN Minimi is the standard issue American squad support weapon, but that doesn't change it's origin. All we know is the widow is a damn old design, and that at least one was in the hands of Quarians. Was probablyadapted as their militaries choice anti-materiel rifle. But we have no idea whether it is truly of Quarian design.

What about the artificial Rachni queen (if you killed her in the previous game)? They essentially brought that species back...

Yes and that was also pretty dumb, its like they just assumed everyone would save the queen in ME1 and then made a stupid excuse for it to be a rachni queen even if you killed it in ME1...But i don't see your point? you mean that a bunch of wrongs makes a right?..I'm not saying that they CANT change story and introduce protheans, i'm saying it would be a stupid move lorewise..IMO

I would like to see game developers showing some sense of self-irony when they go all bombastic announcing what has been known for ages. You just can't keep anything secret these days, information can't be contained, I mean, the president of whichever country can't write a love letter without Wikileaks or someone catching it. But then again, in this case, I guess most players don't refresh these forums every five minutes, the announcement might come as a surprise to a majority of the player base.

I was thinking back to when Javik was talking about overpowering and conquering other races, and thought maybe the Phoenix race is another lost race revived and found like Javik just in another pod.

Actually, the Widow is a Geth weapon redesigned to not break an organic's arm when fired.  So it's Geth design, which is Quarian by association.

The new Operation Silence post may kinda confirm this. The line about "The vorcha want in" may mean that they may be truly adding vorcha in the next dlc.

If the Vorcha are going to "get in" on Operation Silencer, that presumably means they will be added this weekend, no? And since only they were mentioned, and it's this soon, doesn't that mean Phoenix/Male Quarians won't be added until a DLC further down the road?

I doubt they'll be added this weekend.

They're not gonna add just 1 race. It will be all in one pack, they will announce it sometime this or next week are release soon after (within 2 weeks max)

it also talks about cerberus defectors... so might strenghten the cerberus being Phoenix theory in upcoming DLC..but it may just be refferring to the defectors from Single player..like random scientists and stuff..
