They are not ex-cerberus, there are already 13 human classes in the game. there won't be any more.
Give me a reason why it could be impossible to get 15 instead of 13. Because you decided it? lol...
because we need variety not more of the same
Every Human in the game currently has Alliance training. They all fight in fundamentally the same way, with Alliance armour and tactics. Cerberus behaves differently. They were originally a small, well-trained splinter group. They didn't have the numbers to use Alliance tactics. Yes, they'd be the same species, but that doesn't mean they would act the same, or have the same voice. Clearly you're not talking about gameplay, as there were already 4 characters that couldn't combat roll before the first DLC and 3 more were added in Resurgance.
Not wanting more Humans simply because they are human is silly. If they are different enough to the current classes, I would welcome them. They could be Prothean, Human, or Hanar for all I care, provided they have interesting abilities.
Phoenix hints at Prothean, yes, but it also hints at Cerberus. In ME2, Cerberus was an honourable group with good intentions. At ME3, they were a shadow of their former self. They rise from the ashes of their ruined group and fight against the Reapers. Yes, it's less concrete than suggestion Protehans, but the weekend challenge does seem to back it up. It mentions Cerberus defectors, Vorcha, and technically-skilled
personnel. That's seems to lean quite far towards Ex-Cerberus, regardless of the leaked information about "Phoenix" classes. This is what has been actually announced by Bioware.
