i'm not supporting one side over the other. personally i would enjoy just about any new class. so protheans or ex-cerbus will have a warm welcome from me. however, if you ignore the leaked information that could be completely false and go off of what has been released by bioware then ex-cerberus does sound like a distinct possibility. the vorcha is the most obvious of the new classes, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume the other classes are also mentioned in the operation silencer update. of course last time the leaked info was accurate so it really could be anything at this point

this. don't care one way or another but i'm leaning towards ex-cerberus since priestly's post, but its all just...

If Protheans appear in MP, I'm going to assume/pretend they are fake Protheans made by Hanar giving drell plastic surgery and cybernetic mods.

"Prothean."

"Oh."

Yeah, what I was thinking exactly. That moment was amusing. One of many awesome moments from Javik.B)

And if such a thing did happen, then it's likely that, y'know, you would have heard about it in the single player campaign. Every playable race in single player is a War Asset, because you can obtain the aid of their armies. Protheans are not. You can obtain the aid of a single Prothean. If millions were found in stasis, I think you would hear about it in single player. Not only that, but millions of Prothean soldiers and not a single civilian or scientist. And the entire galactic community allows them to become expendable special forces soldiers on the front lines, after 50,000 years in stasis. Yes, Protheans had stasis technology. Yes, millions could theoretically still be in stasis throughout the galaxy. But if that was the case, they would not all be soldiers, and they would not all be allowed on the front lines, let alone all WANT to return to the front lines. They've just been fighting Reapers. Their entire civilisation is destroyed. Javik is the avatar of Vengeance. Others might not be so obsessed with avenging their race and might want to just, y'know, start repopulating it.

So far the best evidence of the protheans' intentions are in the Flashbacks we see in From Ashes.  The whole time they're talking about "rebuilding the empire" and "rising a million strong" to fight back against the Reapers in the next cycle. That tells me that the planned for there to be pretty much EVERY member of there society to be represented. Scientists, Soldiers, ect. The Scientists would presumably go to work on the Crucible and the Soldiers would likely not waste much time getting their hands dirty against the Reapers. Why focus on "repopulation" when the galaxy is in the middle of ANOTHER galactic threat from the Reapers?

A single Prothean being removed from stasis, I'm willing to believe. A million? With no mention of it whatsoever in single player? No "Oh hey Javik, turns out you aren't actually the last of your kind. I should go." Just suddenly Protheans turning up in special forces squads without Shepard and their team ever being aware of it. It's kind of galactically significant news. If it was likely to happen, there'd have been hints other than a flashback of Javik wanting to rise a million strong. Which, by the way, involved the stasis pods on Eden Prime. The ones that were destroyed, except Javik's. They had a million on Eden Prime, and they planned to enter stasis and then lead the next cycle.

He was born hundreds of years after the war started; communication was completely shut down. The survivors on Eden Prime had no contact with any other planets. They couldn't possibly know if any other Protheans were alive, or if any others had plans to go into stasis. They simply knew that their own plan was to enter stasis and then rise up after the Reapers had left.

Which is why it's perfectly reasonable for there to be another site of Protheans in Stasis waiting. Javik didn't know about Ilos either, because like you said, the Empire was in shambles and most had no contact with the others. He was a Soldier, not a scientist. He wouldn't be "in the loop" when it comes to things like that. He was good at shooting things. Who's to say there weren't other planets in the Empire that had the EXACT same plan we've seen twice already?

Really, all the points you made just help the argument FOR there being Protheans in MP.

Not just Protheans, it also opens the door to the possibility of Collectors being a 'new' enemy type in MP...

Probably because the meme came from a scene in Toy Story.

What irritates me, is that the same people who whinge about protheans being in the mulitplayer, are probably those who also whinge about multiplayer getting boring. Let Bioware go a little wild and get creative, what harm can it really do if they bring protheans to the mulitplayer section of the game.

Unfortunately, "Getting creative" would be putting the Raloi in, or maybe some modified Rachni or something. Protheans is much less out there as a choice. We shall see what happens, though.

Agreed. Raloi would be great, and actually creative. Destroying established continuity in order to implement an available character model is more shortcut and less creativity.
Turian females would be another example. Perhaps from the famed turian phoenix division that I just made up right now.
Also, for the record, rachni are just as much reborn from the ashes as javik. They could fit the rebirth theme.

We'll never see the Raloi in MP, unless they add a DLC in single-player mode bringing them back into the fray.  Here's why, from the ME Wiki:

In 2186 during the Reaper invasion, the raloi delegation withdraws from the Citadel. Unwilling and unable to fight the Reapers, the raloi decide to isolate themselves on Turvess and destroy any satellites and observation equipment in orbit around their planet. They hope that the Reapers will see them as a pre-spaceflight civilization and spare their planet.

I wanna be a Prothean.

Then I'll use my mic in MP and talk with a African/Kenyan accent all day!

'Aint racist. If he's imitating Javik/a Prothean with mannerisms similar to Javik, it's just getting the accent right.

He says "African/Kenyan" because people have already argued about where his accent originated.

Hmm, phoenix classes. From ashes.
Either we're getting protheans or a Ultimate marvel vs capcom crossover.

That's not racist. That's being in-character.
It's like saying it's racist to speak in an Indian and/or Jewish accent for the Quarians when almost all of their voice actors are Indian or Jewish.

Javik´s accent is not Jamaikan, it is supposes to sound like from some ancient african empire or something.
And Quarians are indubitably space-gipsies.

The Quarians bear more similarities with the ancient Israelites than anyone.

I find it odd when people say it's Jamaican, it just isn't.

You know guys, the issue with your constant babble of lore and continuity is really simple and its this.
If we're going to assume the MP follows the SP lore-strictly, than why are there both Geth and Quarians? Not everyone made Peace, I know problaby many of you have chose one side or another.

Using your logic, You should be barred from using the race you killed, and should be barred from joining a game with one. Keep in mind, the Geth were completely hostile to the Quarians in ME3 unless you make Peace, so there is no bull**** lore loop you can make.

Because they're litereally gypsies and their hoods + suits are a reference to middle-eastern clothes like Hijabs and Niqabs.
