I'm going to repost this to remind everyone of some of the new developments.
Cerberus defectors have verified key intel on Reaper banshees to help provide us a vulnerability to exploit. Banshees are created from a specific kind of asari that cannot be replaced quickly, so we are diverting forces to focus on an all-out banshee extermination effort.

This task is an onerous one, and many of you are right to dread contact with these particular foes, but rest assured that we are prepared to reinforce your battalion with reserves. The vorcha want in, and as soon as they complete combined-arms training with our technically-skilled personnel, we will let them loose.

It’s time to make our enemies scream.

Those are the three hints so far, let's disregard phoenix for now since it's a codename.

Cerberus Defectors: Seen on Jacob's mission, they probably have unique human armor and abilities.
Vorcha:  Self explanatory
Technically-skilled personnel: Male quarians, engineer, and infiltrator both tech saavy classes/

Collectors would be great IMO. Beyond that what else could they add? Mercenaries would probably just be similar to Cerberus and wouldn't make any sense.

You guys should really look up what technically means.
It's not technically technologically.
Actually, it's not even remotely technologically.
Insert Princess Bride meme.

Why would mercenaries be to similar to cerberus?
I see them as totally different, using very different tactics and having very different units.

And why wouldnt it make any sense?
Mercenaries that didnt join in the war effort comming to steal stuff from weak army outposts seems plausible to me...

Aria T'loak.

Yes, obviously I'm joking but it would have been really satisfying since Shepard never took the opportunity to beat her down for all that back-talk.

Lol bioware wrote technically instead of technologically, they should fix it because I doubt they mean technically skilled.

Military use "Technical" as a term describing mechanical vehicles or in some cases the engineers and techies on the field working on such objects. It does still make sense from a military standpoint, but not from a civvie standpoint. Much like working a sprog makes perfect sense in the old british military, but it sounds like some gibberish in civilian tongue. "Get that technical out of here!" would make sense. Technically skilled basically suggests units who are good with vehicles and machinery, a tank driver could be called technically skilled, as could the engineer fixing it.

But yes, they could have chose a different word and solved the whole problem.

They could have just said tech experts as well.

Cerberus combat units have bombs in their heads that explode when they're captured. There have been lines about how no Cerberus units captured from the field ahve survived interogation becasue of this. The line about Cerberus Defectors is most likely just flavor text from the previous Operation to show continuity, not necessarily evidence of Cerberus characters in Multiplayer.

The reference to "technically skilled personnel" is almost certainly simply an in-character reference to BioWare developers working on the pack.

It's just like how they said "A volunteer task force has fabricated the necessary hardware and is rolling out compatibility software" when announcing PS3 weekend events.

If that's true, it could be good evidence in the argument that people shouldn't take flavor text so damn seriously.

Good Catch

I'm really excited for male Quarians, I just hope they have a different skill set from the female version. I want a male QE with sabotage/overload/turret

Following the pattern of the previous DLC, I'd expect them to have one new unique ability. Much like Blade armor, barrier, Bio sphere and hunter mode, none of which were available in MP prior.

This i the only game, this year, that i constantly play and have fun.

As a PC gamer, this game loads very quick, runs smooth as silk, sounds good, looks good......i do not mind for DLCs at all.

If this "Phoenix" rumor has any truth to it I think it's pretty obvious what race they'll be [canon be damned I guess] After all a race that would analogue the mythical ancient creature that rises anew from the ashes of it's previously torched home, so it can live to fight again with new zest ... geez I wonder what it could be? [rolls eyes]

Edit: Also if you add Adept and Vanguard to the mix it's even more obvious, which in that case I guess BW aren't so concernd about canon anymore. Hmm, unless...

So any speculations about when the trailer will be coming out? If I'm not mistaken the Resurgance trailerwas released on a tuesday and the DLC came out the tuesday after (but please correct me if I'm wrong). And I do believe the announcement came after the operation "teaser" so my speculation is that the trailer should hit this tuesday with a release the following tuesday

You're wrong. The Resurgence Trailer launched April 5th/6th, the Friday before the event and the day after it was teased on the Operation. The actual pack was released on the 10th, the Tuesday following.

I personally think the DLC will be announced this Friday, released the next Tuesday, and the weekend Operation will be Operation Rebellion
