Taps foot impatiently... We need this guy from Jurassic Multiplayer:
Dr. Ian Malcolm: [Ian Malcolm leans to face his webcam from his chair when the multioplayer doesn't appear] Ah, now eventually you do plan to have multiplayer on your, on your multiplayer servers, right? Hello?
[he taps the camera lens and breathes on it]
Repeat until fixed.
So multiplayer is down?

I think the community manager might want to start managing right about now. Generally when there is a major problem you announce it, take down the servers, and then do whatever it takes to get the problem fixed as fast as possible. Unavailable is better than broken.
HA! Speculation is so much better.

Wasn't the reason we have an operation every other week is so that crap like this doesn't happen? BW has done a great job at making a game that falls apart. At what point do all these problems pile up and mean something? Why can so many keep the attitude that BioWare is doing their best? Pretty outrageous if you ask me.

Guys, I just logged into MP successfully... I'm also getting the galaxy map on the splash screen. See if you can do the same.
I've been able to do that whenever I reset the game, but cannot stay in a game for beans.
Let us know when you're able to complete a game, or to set the bar low... tell us when you can make it past wave 1 without getting dropped

Had the same problems listed so far, seems to let me join if I dont look at the store, but then Im still dropped out after first wave. Cleared a bronze by myself with out a disconnect but then lost the credits I made next time I logged it.

I'm assuming that the PS3 inclusion(which, to me, seemed a little sudden) this week just kept things from going as planned.
(You didn't see me say that if, come next operation, there are still troubles.

The "community manager" is just a "pretty face" that does nothing in the way of community relations.D4rk50ul808 wrote...

it would be nice if somebody from bioware could fill us in on how deep these 'technical issues' are. its one thing that they are having problems with balance stuff, or CPs but this is just a downright mess. when did companies start to get the idea that its best just to leave people in the dark.

- Disconnection after wave 1, if you are NOT the host.
- If you are the host, you will either get booted immediately or stay in and the wave will be restarted, at which point you can solo the waves, get back to the game lobby, level up or whatever, then when you exit to the multiplayer lobby, credits, xp, levels etc get reset to whatever you had before completing the game.
- Once the above happens, you will NOT be able to host games, search games, or join games, unless you restart the game.

Got dropped from a game, went to go find another and it just got stuck on the 'Looking for game' message. Restarted the game after checking forums to see if others were having issues... then downloaded the patch and started the game up again. Connected to a game. Got dropped 3 minutes into the first wave. Tried, again, to connect to another lobby but still no go.
So here I am, whining about it to you guys
WHAT PATCH???/
I keep seeing people say stuff about a patch. I have seen no patch download! What gives?
same exact thing has been happening to me as wel,l as xelf207 stated above (3 minutes into first wave then game sorta freezes and then it says I lost connection) ... but I too have to ask, as andysdead did, WHAT PATCH?!?
Guys, I really don't think it's a patch. I suspect it's something to do with the Victory pack. I downloaded it earlier today and then one of my friends didn't and he can play just fine, no issues.
I don't think it's that, either. I could be wrong, but I think I remember getting the Victory pack and then playing several rounds just fine. Wish I'd payed more attention but I never get excited over the victory packs, so... still, I think there are other people that didn't open victory packs and are having issues.
I did not open the Victory pack. I saw it in the store but left it sitting there because I was really waiting for the commendation pack. I played a few rounds just fine, then on the 3rd or 4th game I was kicked and then these issues started. This is NOT a modem issue or Xbox cache issue EA. Way to pass the buck.

In case you missed it, look back at this post, EA has (thankfully) acknowledged the problem.

Twice within the last hour or so I was able to get into a game but both glitched within a minute. The other players were either running in place or walking in space. So were enemies. Nothing happened when I shot or melee'd enemies. Then connection dropped.
This is what happens to me, in fact I never even see the lobby, I get dumped into a wave one, wave one ends and the game bugs out.

I wake up, looking forward to my new packs and playing a lil multiplayer, and instead come to the forums and see multiplayer has been plagued with all these problems. I should of known better then to expect anything good right after a weekend event ends. Damn myself!
Hey, keep your chin up until you actually experience these issues. You could be one of the lucky ones with no lag and no trouble finding a solid group... so go have a try
It seems to be a small percentage of us having these problems, because most people are actually playing the game and there don't seem to be too many of us complaining about it in the forums (compared to people complaining about other things, of course)

So, in about 3 hours, once they realize that no one at either Ea or Bioware has any idea what caused the latest malfunctions?
