Yes, the "patch" is a pc reference, though it seems to have been released at the same time as the victory packs/premium spectre packs were released for XBOX gamers.

I play on Xbox, for the records. Beside I read about a patch. Is it for PC only? I got not patch when I started my game.

So we can exclude the opening of the packs is the cause of the issue. I'll try to play the game one more time then I'll contact EA. I'll keep you informed, even though I don't know how could I be useful to the community right now. It seems a very serious issue they are having with the servers and I really doubt they klnow nothing about it. Yet they say nothing to us.

Nice to read. I hope you will be able to fix it soon. Any info on the cause?

Well, it looks like they're awake now.

Any guess on an estimated fix time? We don't need anything specific, just should we expect to wait hours, days, or weeks before everything's back to normal?

I can't even go online in Origin. Is it related?

I had the same problem. In Origin I clicked "repair install" and that helped.

Try turning the servers off and back on again or get James Vega to have a look at the server.:D

The UK Community Coordinator is awake, which is no surprise since its almost noon in Europe.  My guess would be that he is just trying to find out whats going on.

Its probably going to take few more hours for the Canadians to wake up and actually do something about the issue.

A while before they do anything about the issue, yeah, but I'd be surprised if he didn't make a phone call or two and let someone in Canada know that there's a problem.

I am not saying he did not make any calls, but I have my doubts about the answering machine fixing the servers.

I'm wondering if they have a version control system in place...if it's going to take longer to fix the code, than it would be to revert to the previously stable version, they should revert...then deploy the fixed and tested version later.

Unless the database schema has changed in some way, reverting should not affect player profiles?

Just letting people know:

I did the repair install in Origin that someone else posted here, and it so far seems to have worked.

The "patch" must have broke something.

Hmm, IIRC, (PC) I've opened Vic pack and then game got borked (hosted a game, all of sudden 3 other players left the game), _then_ I've d/lded the patch in hope it'll let me play/host/join. But then, it was like 2:00 AM and I could mix that all up.

Haven't you heard...we've unlocked the Multiplayer Sabotage pack. It's pretty cool, because it allows you to not create games or join them.
