Seriously, the character with the best VA who was a potential squad mate in ME2 was reduced to a random Banshee with a new name?! Dafuq?! Did any character get any more screwed than that?

No way, Just because he cheats on Shepard? That can't compare to Morinth's "story arc".

Kal'Reegar and Emily Wong, both of them killed by text.

Morinth, Kal'Reegar and Emily Wong are the three candidates for "worst treatment."

I would give the early edge to Morinth because she's the only one who can actually get a spot on the Normandy, but when you compare the three characters' screen time, they're pretty similar (plus, Morinth as squadmate is just Samara with Dominate instead of Reave, and every once in a while she'll break character and yell something about being A-Y... pretty lazy treatment).

Emily Wong gets insult added to injury, though. She gets bumped off via twitter, not even in-game. AND she gets replaced by the at-best forgettable, at-worst grating Diana Allers.

I'm going to go with Emily Wong, with Morinth coming in a close second.

I have to say Emily Wong because it happened over twitter and she wasn't even in the game.

Morinth? Oh, you mean the psychotic mass murdurer back in Mass Effect 2? I let Samara punch her face in. She deserved it.

I heard something about Morinth being turned into a banshee. That's priceless.

It's called Video Game Cruelty Punishment, people. Get used to it.

Why give the option of being a renegade, if all the decent outcomes go to paragons? That makes no sense.

Jack becomes a Phantom if you ignore the Grissom Academy quest... but that's up to the player if that happens.

Yeah, one of my renegade playthroughs saved Morinth instead. The least she could have done was appear during the Ardat-Yakshi mission and be there with her sisters, but nooooo... she just turns into a random banshee. -_-;

I wouldn't have minded them turning her into a banshee if she was more powerful than the average one and a kind of boss-type fight, since she was strong even for an AY. As it stands now, her treatment was just lazy.

1. Morinth (lead the list, what i dont understand when you pick her instead of her mother than you can read her mails to her sisters in monastery it looks like she is realy caring for them both even if she choose way of sin, than why she isn´t on the monastery instead of Samara ... she could sacrifice herself to protect her sisters instead her cameo in the end of game.... LOOK BASNHEEE OOO Hi Morinth, how are you ?)

2, Kal´Reagar/ Emily Wong (twitter and ANN deaths this is new way how to handle possibile stories behind)

3. Admiral Xen´s cut storyplot (rly very poor, i feel like her potential was wasted to nothing maybe we will see dlc)

4. Feros survivors - dunno if Exogeni write mails but Shiala was describing her unique ability and after her contact in ME2 i was hopin i will se her again.

I agree. Bioware seems familiar with that, though. They root for the good guys by default. I remember playing an evil character in Baldur's Gate was MUCH harder than playing a good one.

Morinth could have been a very interesting character. Too bad they didn't develop her more.

It seems they'll never let us have our fun. I remember playing Fable II and hearing about how Reaver sacrificed his entire village to the Shadow Kings to gain eternal(ish) youth. I wanted to sacrifice an entire village to the Shadow Kings too. :(

This.

It would have been nice to see (if you didnt romance Tali for example) Kal to turn up either with Tali or have a cameo with the Fleet.
He deserved better.. i <3 Reegar ha

In all fairness Shiala isn't even mentioned. So there is still hope for DLC...

No, Shiala sends you an email.

From: Shiala

Dear Commander Shepard:

I don't know if you've seen the articles, but the people of Zhu's Hope are fighting again. This time it's the Reapers instead of the geth.

I'm not sure if you remember me, but you helped me back on lllium. The Thorian is dead now. I can confirm that. But the spores in our bodies remain, and on some level, we are still connected.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. As we fight back the Reapers, we feel each other, and act with one mind, ignoring pain when the need arises. I'm sure I'm still indoctrinated. I remember Sovereign's voice in my mind when I went willingly to the Thorian as its thrall. But my connection to the people of Zhu's Hope is stronger. It drowns out the Reaper voices.

This situation is imperfect, and dangerous. Perhaps the colonists should separate, for their own safety. But with one mind, the untrained fight with the skill of veteran commandos. Our force is strong.

I have not forgotten how you helped us, how you spared me. We are leaving Feros soon, and when the time comes, we will fight with you.

Shiala

My mistake. She isn't mentioned as dying then. Which means DLC is still possible, though how probable I can't say.

Kelly Chambers getting whacked by Cerberus after the Tuchunka missions. You only hear about it IF you happen to walk through the back areas of the refugee camps on the Citadel, slowly.

Getting killed off via Twitter is a pretty rough way to go. (Emily Wong)

But yeah, when I saw Morinth the banshee in-game I had to actually pause the game to laugh, I just was in disbelief that they'd do that to her.
