It could be really good, but no way to know right now.

Don't hype up your EC now.
If its really that good, then let it come out and we'll be the judge.
Do you really want to raise expectations to unrealistic levels again?
NO ONE liked what the forums became in the week following the launch.
DO NOT HYPE THIS DLC.
If you have to talk. Just open and honest dialogue, please.

Optimystic_X.....you can clearly see that you're on your own this thread. Your points are more like biased opinions. Opinions that show your obvious satisfaction with the current ending.
You're wrong. I'm not satisfied. I want Extended Cut as much as if, if not more than, anyone.
Just because I don't think "the scene is unsalvageable" doesn't mean I'm happy with what we got. Otherwise I'd be upset about clarification DLC. I'd be like "omg current ending so artistic, don't listen 2 haters BW!!!"
No - I want expanded LI scenes. I want war assets fighting on earth. I want to know what Synthesis and Control mean. And I'm confident that the writers that gave us Tuchanka and Rannoch can deliver on that promise.
And if I have to "stand alone" because I'm not willing to rend my garments in twain and wear sackcloth+ashes everywhere, so be it.
(But I already know that I don't.)

The majority of the forums are negative nancies, certainly. :innocent:

I don't know why you're even attempting a discussion. Your signature basically says "I am a proud pro-ender and anyone who disagrees with it is a whiner."
It's more calling out the billboard-buyers than anything, and reminding BW that not everyone who posts here is part of "whatever fleet of the Retake movement."
The Pro-Ender thread is there so I don't have to drop it into a bunch of different posts everytime something needs to be rehashed from it.

It's hard (the burning rage I feel towards their "artistically vague" ending has yet to die down), but if this is the best I can hope for, then so be it.
I was never expecting them to retcon the ending (I never truly wanted them to. Although "Indoctrination Theory" was a nice idea, Bioware is being adamant against it and anything that has to do with a "different" ending). I just wanted clarification, closure and satisfaction. I want Shepard to live. If the geth and EDI have to die, then so be it. I want him to be together with Ashley! Bioware, don't let me speculate. SHOW ME! I've been speculating for nine months, I'm ready to get your version. And sadly, your version left way too much to be desired and introduced the type of questions that an ending to a saga of this magnitude should never, never, NEVER have!
What happens to the multi-species fleet? What will the races do now that the Mass Relays are destroyed? What happens after Shepard breathes in the rubble? Where is that rubble? Why did Joker run? And will Shepard be reunited with his squad? Both Weekes and Merizan hinted at the possibility that Shepard can reunite with his squad in the EC, so I can forgive the inclusion of the Catalyst and its circular logic. I can forgive the rushed conclusion of the Illusive Man conflict.
Just tell me what happens next! Rather, show me! That's all I ever wanted...
I'm gonna be anticipating this DLC with guarded expectations. Like the old saw goes: Fool me once...

Two months ago they were pleased with the ME3 ending as well
This is why I am worried too.
Well would you rather they said, "this is crap and we're ashamed to even put our names on it" as a discription of the extended cut? Would that restore your confidence?
All joking aside you probably have set yourself up for a perpetucal worrying cycle with that attitude.

And you honestly think that hyping the DLC or not, will actually have ANY impact on how much people will Rage when it's finally released ?
The EC being good or horrible is irrelevant. Because, ya know, people have way too many different opinions on how the series should end.
There will be a large portion of people who dislikes it, bullying away those who like the Extended Cut. And we will have the same scenario all over again. Haters gonna hate, no matter the content that's being released.

Epler noted that opinions given over social media is indivual and not that of the company, so you shouldn't really take Jessica's overenthusiasm too seriously.

EDI: "As well as our new and improved bodies which absolutely don't take away our individuality or free will."
Love interest: "I agree, and I'm so glad I'm here with you guys. My fate is totally satisfying and I will be happy thinking about all my moments with Shepard."
Everyone, at the same time: "All is well. All is well. All is well."

You'd figure after the whole ending debacle, they would figure out that people would be naturally suspicious of vague PR statements like this.

And if the EC sucks, we will all finally know that taking advice from players is a moronic thing to do. Because, as it has been since the beginning of the time, developers > players.
Bohemia Interactive, Operation Flashpoint (not the crappy Codemasters games), ArmA, Arma 2, Arma 3, Take On Helicopters and the BI Modding Community would like a word with you.
