They're not changing anything like we wanted. Hiding behind bad writing and calling it art?
It's just the same crap we got, but extended. BioWare doesn't care about the fans anymore, they've got our money and stole 5yrs of our lives away.

I still want them to split up the RBG into more acceptable outcomes based on EMS.
Two options for "Destroy": I want to be able to kill the Reapers and still have the Geth & EDI live, even if I had to sacrifice Shepard. My paragon Shepard would want that. My Renegade is fine with Destroy as it is now.
Two options for "Control": I woud like the option to kick out the Reapers, even it it's just back to dark space for another 50K years. We'd have time to prepare. I don't want to join them, just kick them out and be able to return to my LI and crew. Keep the current "control" as well.
I want to be on the Normany with my crew when --if it must-- crash on that fracking jungle planet. Even if it's just my remains. I want to know that my crew didn't abandon me.
I want to know that the Relays can be reactivated or rebuilt. I want to know the ME universe I was fighting for survived the war (wounded to be sure).

Synthesis is a good thing. Not because I like that option - I take Destroy every time. But because it is a different choice from the other two, and it's up to individual players to pick which they like most. Incidentally, how would people feel about Shepard surviving Control at some higher level of EMS?

Well, I had a similar discussion on another thread, about the options varying with EMS. The outcome of picking Control and Destroy already vary with EMS (A higher EMS means that you've made a better crucible, and better prevented the Reapers from damaging it before its activation), so more variance on that would be good. So, for example, in addition to Shepard living, Destroy can also be more Reaper-specific, and leave other synthetics alone. Control might even no longer kill Shepard with a high enough EMS, or at least allow him to persist in some form instead of just dying as he sends an instructiuon to the Reapers to **** off, and perhaps similarly with Synthesis. I go into more detail on that thread, and also talk about what I'd like to see from the Epilogues. And also some stuff on fixing plot holes, which I will hopefully unite into a blog post which Bioware won't notice, thus making all my proud efforts meaningless and arrogant. And now I've made myself sad.

They had one that was eight hours long.
And I KNOW they had at least one four hour meeting on the EC.
That's some serious thought process time.
How long did it take for Lair of the Shadow Broker to be made?

Because I'm secretly Casey Hudson.
Gamble drops bits of information here and there on Twitter. He reveals more than he thinks he does.
Of course saying we just had a four hour meeting on the EC is a pretty good indication.

There are many things they can do within the confines of their statements about the EC. I'm hoping that they did review many of the great threads around here while working on the EC.
I think what I wish for above is realiastic within the statements from BW --though not prefectly what I really wanted for ME3's ending-- they would provide acceptable closure and hopeful future for the ME universe.

"X & Y go left flank with Hammer squad 2"
"A & B go right flank with Hammer squad 3"
"C & D protect the civilian refugee shelter"
"E & F you'll be escort for the med-team. Protect them well."
"The rest of you, come with me. Move out!"
Star-Brat: Fix his logic.
Expand the RBG with more variations (see my previous posts) on EMS opening more choices within the RBG.
Expanded epilogues (see my previous posts) with good closure for my team and LI no matter if Shepard lives or dies.
I don't think any of that is over-the-top for the EC.

Honestly though, whoever was responsible for that botched finale, should be kept far away from pens, pencils, and certainly anything PC(or mac) related.

That's how it should have been in the first place! Acual differences in the outcomes based, its not perfect, but it would beat what was given to us a hundred-fold.
Sadly, I don't think we'll get that. Just auto-dialogue and after-action placards

This game shouldn't have been released for at least an extra year. The end is such a sloppy mess.

I feel kind of thrilled they are putting so much effort into the EC. Remember, we're not getting Walters/Hudson ending 2.0, we're getting the Entire Writing Team ending 1.0. Yes, they're stuck with the Starchild, but I feel like the ppl who wrote the rest of the game so well (for the most part) will do a lot of great things to redeem and restore as much as they can. I'm really looking forward to the EC.
That's a nice optimistic view, but the cynic in me is saying to "wait and see". This is either going to restore them for many fans, or just spark the oil that is leaking out of the sinking ship.

If I don't see the brilliance for which BW has been (for a long time) justly reknowned, if I see a blatantly half-assed rush job like I saw with the end of ME3, followed by a panoply of excuses for how I'm somehow not intelligent enough to understand their "artistic vision", I am done. It will hurt me an awful lot, but I will be done.
