Also I can see future generations of gamers referring to problems as
'A complete load of Bioware Tuesday'
To the people who are upset over all this, all I can say is that eventually it will be fixed, you will be able to play MP again, you will get your packs and this will just be a bad memory. I know this may not help at the current time, but I'm sure the good folks at BW are doing their upmost to resolve it. Chin up, worse things happen at Sea. (Like no internet connection!

yeah but instead of harping we need to support them... would you liek being in their situation, i sure wouldn't
What do you propose we do to "support" them?
Motivational memes?
Inspiration tirades?
Buy bioware points because they are a starving studio?

i understand that but we can try to keep supporting them... think of it from their side, would you rush amnything for a bunch of people who just keep putting you down and saying you don't know anything about what you're doing... just try to think of all the stress they are under already just having these problems as is.
If they hand't been rushing, I doubt they would've messed up the patch and packs so badly.
Most likely case is that they didn't do as much pack testing as they had planned to after the last event, rushed through what little they did do, and didn't actually make a stable fix for the problem. Coupled with the (likely rushed) patch I keep hearing about, and the fact that they're probably rushing around now trying to sort everything out, it's fair to say that rushing things is what got them into this mess in the first place. If they'd simply put some more time in the first time around, they might not have needed to work on it now.
Also, I'd feel a lot sorrier for them , what with their stress and all, if most of it hadn't originated from their own previous mistakes.

He's got a point, its hard to give support when there is no way for us to know HOW to give support.
That adds to the frustration
That adds to the rage
That adds to the forums several dozen threads an hour.

I don't normally like to try to correct people so I'll try to be as polite as possible, but I've seen Bioware's response to the oft asked "When they expect the problem to be resolved" and it's always "Soon".
In my case (charecter relock bug) it took about a month. Apparently that was soon... enough?

While programming for the PS3 is a different matter than the 360 and PC, I'm not sure it's not to blame in THIS instance for our lack of packs. (But I know why we can't holster or lower our weapons in combat areas... it's the PS3's memory bottlenecks and Biowares PC programming at odds. Optimizing code is not so vital when you can just throw some more RAM or a better GPU or CPU in your box, after all. Dealing with static hardware has disadvantages as well as advantages.)
This issue is some kind of net coding thing, and they'll have it sorted out... eventually. The one time I was able to finish the squad goals due to my N7 number being high enough to not be auto-kicked by kids thinking it actually means something besides the amount of time sunk into the game, too

We as a community need to show them we aren't unreasonable people... the way they see us is a people they will never be able to please... if we show that we are just happy that they are at least trying it will boost worker morale first off, therefore increasing their work ability... Also it will make these forums a'lot more friendly and reduce a'lot of the need for them to worry... how can they do their job if they think that we have no faith in them... We need to start supporting game companies while we have a chance... just think of a gaming world without BioWare
Because the techs there that work on these problems really care about what people on the forums say. I can picture it now.
Tech: Hey guys! everyone supports us!
Tech Group: Really?! Oh snap, lets fix this NOW!

No! I've been patient, I've been reasonable, my faith is lacking after a litany of support failures, I waited two weeks for my packs before, they wussed out and decided to do these events every OTHER week and they STILL can't get us the packs! What were they even doing that week off? Making sure the latest patch turns Rocket Troopers into buggy killing machines? They need to get their crap together before I do away with their game, I've been supporting this company since they were a spot on the wall and I expect better of them.
That's what the community REALLY needs to do, stop swallowing every errant shot of jamba juice shot from the one eyed PR snake and expect BETTER of them without being unreasonable or obnoxious about it.
