Don't worry, the "victory" pack is pretty much a big recruit pack, nothing special.
The Commendation pack will have a Promo N7 weapon. (NOT the ultra-rares, those are onyx/stripe cards
)

That's a pretty reasonable expectation. Unreasonable expectations include things like: I better have a Black Widow V to make up for these bugs/delays by tomorrow or I'm going to never play this game again.

Oh dear. I never did get my commendation pack or victory pack 2 weeks ago. Now it's happening again. This time its because bioware can't do simple things. Not because of a cheating 10 year old.

Ill start by saying that personally i really dont care when i get my commendation pack so long as its within a relatively reasonable timeframe and im sure it will be. No complaints there. Secondly (also not a complaint) now im no programmer so forgive my ignorance on the issue however i am confused by the continued pack bugs. Each pack is essentially the same thing yes? Each time we get a pack its within a certain selection as i understand it. If this is true, how does this keep happening? If they fixed it the first time shouldnt it...yaknow...stay fixed? Is it because unlike the regular in store packs they have to authorise its release and something within that bugs out each time? Just curious is all ive personally never had a problem getting my rewards.

Yes...and no. While I agree that things happen (glitches, bugs, failures) and that some gamers are whiners and feel entitled, there comes a time when excuses and pardons wear thin. The store system they have is a failure. It can't be judged any other way. Look at the hundreds who've lost either real coin or game creds. What has BW done about it? I lost 420k+ creds before I read someone's post about pulling my ethernet cable before I get the dreaded message. His advice has saved me from losing even more. If I had lost real money I would have initiated a charge back through my credit card company which, I am sure, would not make Bioware very happy. Then there is the problem of how they (BW) divvy up weapons with the current system. I am currently averaging about 1 weapon card for every 45 Spectre packs, but have read of others who've gone over a hundred. Their current system is broken, or at the very least dysfunctional, and should be towed, crushed and sold for scrap.

Although I highly doubt it, it could be because they're trying to verify who did (and didn't) do the Gold extraction. I'm sure that's part of it, but definitely not all of it.

Regarding the random card system...

That's just how "random" works. If I'm lucky, I could get 100 weapons from 100 weapon packs. If I'm not, then I might get 0 weapons from 100 packs. I'm sorry you're not getting more weapons per pack, but that's just how it works.

Well the last bug, or exploit, or hack, or whatever you wish to call it. Was caused by people playing single player in between multiplayer matches. For whatever reason this triggered their flag to receive a commendation pack even if they'd already received one. Some people exploited this fact to get level X N7 weapons.

The issue this time seems to be that someone at Bioware accidentally included the Indra rifle in the Premium Spectre Packs either through computer or personal error. Then again that might only explain why the PSP were removed from the store. I suppose the connection errors could also relate to the gameplay patch that was supposed to be released today. Or, in fact, it is another issue with releasing the commendation packs. We won't really know what's going on until someone from Bioware decides to provide some information.

Like I said, expecting them to fix issues like the dropped credits is by no means unreasonable. As for the unlock system some people seem to hate it, some people profess to like it. I don't mind it personally, though I did spend a lot of time grinding to unlock stuff. That issue, however, has nothing to do with bugs/multiplayer support and is entirely a design/business model choice.

you mean... when hell freezes over?  every week they've been forthcoming with information about the release of the VP and CP to the players.  now, suddenly, they are having issues.  and this problem doesn't seem to be isolated to the ps3 platform either (so while you might want to point the finger at ps3 players like me, try to remember, we're all having the same issues).

btw, the Indra rifle was supposed to be an exclusive release to certain Alienware systems.  not even regular pc owners were supposed to be able to get it.

BioWare seems to have really messed up the MP this weekend.

Thanks for the update played my first and second Gold missions and actually survived this weekend! I lost some credits and got booted from wave 10 a couple times but I am an IT admin sh-it happens

I agree, especially about the bugs and lack of support. To elaborate on the store issue...the store is there to reward and does a reasonably good job early on. But they should allow folks to decide upon their own which weapons to use. For instance, I play almost exclusively gold level matches now so that's about 45 matches x 30 minutes each to get a weapon card. If that weapon is a shotgun, for example (which I never use), I am not going to be very happy. They should allow us to spend credits on weapons of OUR choice. Anyway...just my two cents.

But consider that you can spend real money to buy as many packs as you want and you might see why they have created the system as it is. I too would prefer to be able to upgrade my guns as I saw fit. Especially because now the only things I need to upgrade are Black Cards and instead of ever getting any I just pull character cards I already have. I'm fairly certain it is a business decision. I would be more upset about it if I didn't enjoy playing the game enough to unlock most everything without spending actual money.

Skinner figured this out way back; the best way to keep someone exhibiting the desired behavior for the longest amount of time is to give them partial reinforcement, or give them the rewards they want at unpredictable intervals. Same thing with gambling, that's what's going on and it's very effective.

This is what really stings... At this stage I don't care about the Victory or Commendation packs. The MP is down since 7 hours and yet there's no update regarding causes or timeline for a fix... Their customer service department (???) needs a bigger budget...
