I don't have a problem with waiting for the packs like 3 weeks, I have my Valiant and I know I won't get an upgrade with my luck.
It's just kind of annoying that there always seems to be a problem with the MP.

agreed, I have this horrible feeling i'm going to wind up with the crusader this time around. I was lucky enough to get the Valiant for Goliath and Raptor but i doubt my luck will hold for a Valiant III...............

Well apparently the Allied Goal was met, as I got the Victory Pack earlier today.

However, the Commendation Pack, which I know my squad met the criteria, has not yet been received.

And now it looks like the MP servers are down. FAIL. EPIC FAIL

There sure was an epic fail.

I wish we could break video game developers of this habit of posting on Twitter. I'm not going to "follow" every employee for every dev company to get news that should be posted on THE OFFICIAL FORUMS rather than some un-affiliated website.

To be honest, Tully Ackland posted it here too, and about the same time it was posted on twitter, see this post.

Well, interesting you ask after saying the MP runs fine on Xbox.

Some of the guns are good, even out of the gate - Scorpion is crazy fun.

Others like the Striker and Falcon are effectively useless, or at least far less useful, unless you host because Bioware's projectile code is so buggy that half the time you might as well be shooting blanks.

I could. Got my victory pack and did get booted from the servers once, but they were still functioning for private matches.

I know I am not using the idiom/saying in it's proper context but I will just say it. It's not the gun but "man" behind the gun who matters.

Me and my friend got in a bit of argument and decided to test Black Widow I vs Valiant I without (sniper rail amp or ammo equipment of any kind) in a friendly match against geth on gold on FB White. He took the spot outside near the ammo box and I camped inside near the entrance of lower level popular farming spot. Other two friends also took positions near me and the match began. One of the friends was playing as Asari Adept and other was playing as engineer. Me and other friend were playing as Infiltrators. He was geth and I was salarian. Don't get me wrong. That friend who was using black widow is a crazy good player, has a high N7 rating and gets tons of kills/points when he uses geth pulse shotgun X.

Anyways the game started and by extraction I had 26k score more than him. I am not saying black widow is a bad sniper rifle or valiant is super awesome. If get hunter mode didn't hurt my eyes and gave me headache I would use black widow on geth infiltrator without a doubt as 15% faster fire rate and 25% extra damage is pretty awesome for killing enemies without needing to headshot them. But as salarian infiltrator I mainly use valiant because during those multi hack objectives I find the shorter tactical cloak recharge time better and I also like to down non boss level enemies faster as everyone else usually focus on banshees/atlas and primes and during that time squad is most vulnerable to marauder shields and the likes...

Damn those marauder shields. They are beginning to convince me to trade all my ultra rare unlocks for the same damage/accuracy phaeston they use.

TLDR both sniper rifles are quite good but what matters more than weapon is players skill.

If it was a hardware problem they could give you an estimate.  If it is a software problem - well that is much harder to estimate ( impossible ) because when they fix whatever is wrong they need to make sure that they don't break something else.  My guess that there was a bug there all along and this pack triggered the problem.   

You have no idea what they might be dealing with.   It could be that their database is corrupted and they don't want to restore it to before the problem happened - that would wipe out everything that "happened" since the packs came out.

Geth SMG has largly filled everyones SMG needs, especially with the ever popular godmechs, the geth.

I know what you mean. And mind you, I think the Valiant is a great gun (can't wait to get my hands on it), and I use it in SP. It's just that I'm not a great player (a good one, but not great), and still everytime I see a good player who also happens to wield a Valiant we end up close.
It may be because I got very lucky since I managed to unlock my BW I the second day I played MP. So it may just be that I'm more used to the BW than most are to the Valiant. Or that my perception of other players being good or not is a little broken... Either way I agree with you.
