I don't necessarily think it is bad as much as it isn't as good as the rest of the N7 guns.  At level one, with no ammo or weapon bonuses, it can take out an Atlas on Bronze or Silver in just a few seconds if you hit the shots, meaning you almost have to be behind cover.  That is the problem, though.  You have to be behind cover for it to be effective

Nope. As a caster you want a weapon that you can keep firing while using a power every cooldown. Geth SMG needs time to warm up, so it's a ton of wasted potential damage for an engineer or adept, because the rate of fire will get reset with every cast.

Also, staying out of cover for prolonged period (as required by gSMG) is generally not a great idea on silver up.

while i have the m98 and i do want the black widow.. i think to many snipers in gold is a bit silly you still need the grunts with the shot guns and rifles to stop the wave.. lol like my totaly useless striker rifle .. i call it the boom stick while its not good for killing its good for keeping them busy!!!

You can go Gold 4 Infiltrators and do it without even sweating a bit, bou it depends on the players.

Like I said before, if you hate the game so much, then trade it in and rid yourself of the problem. Thats what normal people do if the game they purchased doesn't hold up to their expectations. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to keep it. I on the other hand, will occupy my time with the SP or maybe, and here is thought, a different game. *gasp*

I wish we could break video game developers of this habit of posting on Twitter. I'm not going to "follow" every employee for every dev company to get news that should be posted on THE OFFICIAL FORUMS rather than some un-affiliated website.

If you look closely at my post though, it was more of a general complaint about all developers, not just this specific issue.

It seems to be a mostly EA thing. DICE is HORRIBLE for it.

We have yet to get an announcement of success but a few folks have gotten victory packs so that would indicate the operation was successful. I do wonder what the phantom count is myself.
