TBH this kind of looks like one of those MMO "we take anyone" zerg guilds that just go for numbers over anything else.

No, you look for those you like and contact them. There is no requirement to play with everyone in the list.

You can invite friends to your lobby or get invites from them...

Saying you're good is one thing, being good is something else. What sort of screening procedures are in place to guarantee only good players in this group? If any random Joe Schmoe can join up, there's certainly no guarantee at all.

there is no formal screening process, but the members won't play with you if they don't want to play with you, i can guarentee the majority are good, decent teammates, many are chatty and quite a few offer their services as mentors to anyone who wants to play gold. Here's some reviews of us...

When I for first time saw now legendary thread "Tired of bad teams on silver and gold",I thought: "Oh no,another whining thread of some spoiled kid,who didn't get his ice cream.I won´t even bother to read that piece of crap".
But then I saw the author is some LordShenlong dude and as I´m HUGE fan of DragonBallz,I gave it a try and posted some s__t.
Even gave my game info for people, who are interested to play with me.
In that time I was only gooffing(don´t know that word even exist, but it is funny) around on Bronze and Silver with randoms.I thought playing on Gold is only for uberplayers and i didn´t think to be good enogh for Gold.
But then I met rigganna,roy001,stentron... and my playing skills is skyrocketed from then.
ME3 MP is now whole new experience when I played you with you guys.
Maybe it is not funny as it says in subject, but i had you catch somehow.
Thx

Yeah, I felt the same as zorinho the first time I say the thread. Coz so many negative thing in the forum, it's like people are never happy here. Then I saw the name of Shenlong, I know dragon ballz is japanese but Shenlong(神龍)is a chinese word for dragon god.(and dragon ballz is based on a chinese fairytale), so I thought this guy could be a Chinese. I entered and found out it's a recruitment thread, and I thought WTH, it won't hurt to just put down my name.
About the next day roy001ryc contacted me on origin, I was like, wow, this guy is fast!!! And I had my first random gold with him, riganna and red john. Not much hope to complete it, coz gold was a myth to me at that time. However, we managed to get to extraction(better to say I managed to get to extraction, since they were used to it)!!! I was like, what? I can do gold???
Well, since then, MP was completely changed for me, and I found a family!!
afmn wrote...
just wanted to add, before this group extraction on gold was a rarity, now it has become the other way around. with this group not getting an extraction has become quite rare.
thank you all:)

Well, you can try and add some people of around your time zone.
Although there is no formal screening process, I think there is an idirect, more subtle one: in a public match you play against people to which you are not linked in any meaningful way, and therefore the sense of anonimity is greater. That allows many people to be outright jerks with total impunity.
On the other hand, if you join the Legion you will have many people in your friend list that are also friends to one another. That means that if you do not play with the team word will spread out and people will know that you like to harvest points instead of helping your teammates while they are being wiped out in the upload zone, for instance.
So, while you will certainly find many different playstyles in the Legion, some of which will complement yours while others not so much, I seriously doubt you will ever play a match that ends bad because there is only one guy in the upload zone while the others are building their own glory.
That being said, it is worth noting that it does not matter how good your performance is or how many points you score. I am pretty bad myself. I can remember two recent matches, one in which I missed a Banshee with the Cobra only to be immediately executed by the very Banshee I was trying to take out, and another one in which I was the only player alive against two Banshees with nothing more than a Salarian Infiltrator with a Widow, no Cobras, and after five minutes of running around without being able to take down the Banshees that were regenerating faster than I could hurt them with the Widow, one member of the team got out and back in order to help me finish them off. And nobody yelled or rage quitted as would probably have happened in a public match.
Mind you, I've met nice people in public matches too, but your chances will crank up rapidly if you play with people of the Legion.
What the hell, it was just yesterday that someone apologized to me after a match for not reviving my Krogan ass while I was bleeding to death with a bunch of enemies camping on my face. Can you imagine that? Not that an apology was necessary, because it was quite plain that trying to revive me would have been suicide. But that gives you an idea of what kind of people you can expect in the Legion.

I'm a decent player at best, but I usually play Unknown/Unknown/Gold and still get extraction almost every game when playing with people from the group. I didn't even play Gold before I joined the group. Some people will outscore me no matter what class/weapon they use, but that's all right. The most important thing is that we play as a team.
We will revive you, if you want to go rambo for a while and end up dead on the other side of the map, we will use a missile to rescue you from the grip of a banshee and if we get a disconnect during the match we'll be right back to finish the mission with you.
Most people who posted in this thread are looking for team players and you don't need to be the best player around to be a valueable addition to the team. We will not kick anyone from the lobby because he is using a "subpar" loadout or his N7 rank is lower than ours.
Most people in the group can evaluate their own skill well enough and won't burden you with a setup that won't work.
Also, we have fun playing the game! I'll still enjoy myself even if we fail a match or two.

Screening procedure, eh? I don't know, doesn't sound all too good to me. The CoOp is meant to be fun, not competitive per se.marshalleck wrote...

If someone joining up happens to be average at best, the group is willing and able to share their experiences. We don't need a guarantee at all when it comes to skill. We help eachother out, so everybody can enjoy the game at it's best. If said person reads group posts or joins the IRC channel, he'll be up to speed in no time.
Just my 20 creds on the matter.
