You dont have to be a pro player to join, just be willing to get along with others and play cooperatively, and want to get better at the game. If you are not comfortable with gold, we have plenty of excellent players who will introduce you to it.
The IRC channel is very cool and active many times of the day, pretty easy to get a game going. See you there if you are interested.
