"For an Option" Poster (Thane) *Maxed out!*

Maelon....He never shows up again in ME 3 if he's still alive, and given that he owes She a big debt if he is...Weeeeellll.
He laid the groundwork for curing the modified Genophage, and given how Mordin describes it curing the modified GP would actually be harder than curing a disease from scratch.
He was Mordin's student, and is obviously intelligent enough for the task.
Mordin tells him to atone if Shep lets him go - What better way than curing a debilitating disease that also happen's to be affecting the lover of the person who saved your life?
So, thoughts? Gaping Plotholes?

Like I promised, here is the poster project. This is for anyone who would have liked to be given an option in ME3 to save/prolong Thane.
The poster itself will be 54X36 and I will be sending it directly to Bioware. The poster is going to be an epic one. I work in the movie business and I know how to get movie size posters printed. lol.
http://squeegee83.de...oject-299426849 (Remember to zoom in)
I will be running the project to May 14th or until I get enough personal messages from people. If for some reason I get a lot more messages than I have room for on the poster, I will make extra panels so everyone gets included.
I am also running this project over at deviantArt.
To participate, all you have to do is send me the following information in a PM. It's very simple and the only rule you need to follow is this:
Personal Messages must be kept small and no flaming Bioware. Your message must be about why you feel/think there should have been an option. Just follow the examples of the people who already submitted to the poster or from me. Also, please provide me with all the information that I ask.
Examples:
"Mass Effect will never be the same without Thane".
"Thane was the backbone of my Shep, he/she was not the same after Thane's passing".
"I hoped to save Thane! I was disappointed in only one outcome".
"There is nothing wrong with wanting to save the man that you love. There should have been an option".
"Thane was more than his disease, I was sad to see him define by it in ME3".
"I will always keep fighting for Thane! I won't give up until he is there with me until the end".
Information: (Copy and Paste... then send it in a PM to me)
Username:
Personal Message:
Country you are from:
I hope to hear from you and remember, don't ever stop fighting for Thane!
~~~***There is also a poster project running for Miranda. Please give them your support and love! Remember we all need to stick together: http://social.bioware.com/group/7341/****~
I was able to provide one quickly... lol.
It looks like I am going to have to make extra panels. So please don't feel rushed to submit a message. It's going to take me a couple days to make additions.
I am still working on adding an extra panel, but here is the update so far.
In meanwhile, I like to share with everyone what inspired me to do this project in the first place. When I did the original “For a Choice” art piece, I was hit with an overwhelming response to it on deviantArt. It saddens me that so many people felt the same way and thought they were alone in this. I am very empathetic person and I nearly felt everyone who came to talk to me, either through comments or notes. What also inspired me was the Thane Fanbook that was run by yamainu1984 and Moira-chan, she reminded me we all have to do what we can for the fight for Thane.
Here is the link to the deviantArt art piece, please check out the comments. I hope it inspires a few of you who are just lurking to come and participate in the project. You are not alone!
***Update*** 5/4/12
I literally ran out of room on the poster. I couldn’t believe it, it has only been four days. So I added 3 more panels in and extended one panel. Now I should have plenty of room… I think. lol. I will have the update on the poster by tomorrow. Please keep ‘em messages coming!
***Update*** 5/5/12
I have decided not to upload through imageshack anymore. Let's face it, it sorta sucks. Instead I am going to provide links to the poster through deviantart. The zoom in feature is 1000x better.
As I promised, I made more room on the poster. I hope it's enough because I'm not sure if I can add any more panels in.
Now I'm off to start writing that letter to bioware.....
***Update*** 5/6/12
The poster is coming along smoothly and so far there haven’t been any problems. However I need to let you all know that I feel in the next few days, I am going to probably be maxed out on the poster. So for those who
have said that they liked to participate or just lurking, I strongly suggest you send in your message now. If you need help or ideas, please let me know.
Update on poster: http://squeegee83.de...oject-299426849
Last night, I tweeted Patrick Weekes. I let him know about the poster. He did respond back but I’m afraid if I post it up, his message will be taken out of context. There was a discussion going on about Thane’s death and if I post only one response, the meaning of the message will be misunderstood. The point of me even saying anything is that I wanted to let him know that there is a problem with Thane’s death.
However his message gave me an idea. The poster reflects our emotions, hurt and/or disappointment. So I like to also reflect some logic as well. So for anyone who likes to write letters can send me one. What I am looking for is ideas on how an option to save/prolong Thane can work in ME3. I know a few of you won’t be able to resist the urge to also discuss your feelings on how Thane's death and no option to save him made you feel. I’m okay with it as long as you provide ideas for an option.
There is no page limitation. I also need to make this very clear. This is not a fan book project. I will simply collect letters from people, print and compile it all into something that is simple and nice. I will then send it in along with the poster.
I don’t expect many letters and I don’t want to hold anyone back from expressing their thoughts freely. So I am allowing you all to go about writing your letter any way that you like, just don’t flame/cuss out Bioware.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Please send all letters in a pm to me. Also make sure to spell/grammar check yourself because relying on me to doing it for you is like relying on Bioware to do things right. It would be such a fail.
Deadline: 5/14/12
***Update*** 5/7
I have gotten food poisoning like you will not believe. That is what I get for eating crab. LOL. Please bare with me, it's been killing me all day. I got the shakes and I'm dead tired. I'll update better tomorrow and I will get back with everyone who posted/noted me. I'm just so tired right now.
I also just want to say... crab is still awesome... even if it nearly kills you. haha.
A special thanks to those who have participated in the project so far:
Ya know I really wanted Maelon to show up in ME3, I let the dude live, and this Idea I LOVE this. It would be a great idea even for both LI Thane, and Buddy Thane. I'd tell Maelon he'd better starting work on saving my friend or I'd make good on Mordin's threat of "I'd kill him if he were here, unless he could prove useful for good cause"
Saving Thane good Cause.
yeah, that sounds good. i think maelon is a good alternitive towards mordin. i think mordin would have been the best option, but maelon would have more time, because mordin has to deal with genophage.
but it was quite an option
Okay @Squeegee, I have the two ideas I came up with for extending Thane's life, while working within the confines of the existing base game (in other words; not altering the current storyline.....just branching, so to speak). I think it is best to email them to you, since they are in a format that may not register correctly on this thread. If you want to PM me an email addy I can send this to, let me know.
I totally agree, coming up with concepts that fit into the storyline already works best. Cool, I'll send you a PM so my email doesn't get lost in this thread.
Hey that sounds great, thank you for allowing me to do so. I am glad to be better too, thanks!
Did you see that one of the BW people are asking Miri fans for ideas after they started their poster thing? It's sad to see how much they ignore the Thane romancers.They say that they are listening... yeah only listening to those people whom they think is more important. BW hurt you guys, I don't understand why they wouldn't want to make things right.
Are you still going to keep in alliance with the Miri' fans though?
I find that truly disheartening. I am happy FOR them (Miri fans), but Squeegee designed this poster from the ground up. She didn't reuse someone elses creation. And all these quotes are heartfelt from the fans. We are even trying to come up with ways that they could give us the option of keeping him alive through the game. And trust me, most of us would like much, much more than we are suggesting, but we are trying to work within the confines of the base game. They have made it abundantly clear that it would have to be easy and plausible (and artistic which, of course, is subjective)......something they seem to think probably can't happen, but I feel they could. Le sigh....
I can not believe the people at Bioware have the nerve to do that. Squeegee came up with the poster idea first, and they haven't said one word about it. Miranda fans do the same thing and all of a sudden it's the greatest idea ever and they want ideas. I think it's great that Mirada fans are getting some attention, but what about us. We have done everything and continue to do so, but they still ignore us. We have been nothing but nice when asking them questions and talking to them about Thane, but they are making it very hard to remain nice. What is thier problem.
Yeah tell me about it Mnomaha, I saw that last night and I threw my laptop across the room and yelled
F*CK YOU BW, God Damn sacks of sh!t, motherF*cking C*cksuckers Godd@mn F*cken Sons of b!tchs, gonna cater to the giant @ss of f*cking Miranda f*cking godmand wh0re Lawson, and continue to sh!t all over the other f*cking fans, NOT To mention that f*cking Idea they are doing of a f*cking poster orignated with the Thane fans BUT did you ever go and join them, F*ck NO! But you'll go running right over to the d@mn f*cking Miri crowd you sacks of sh!t, THE Thane Fans have come up with most of the ideas and projects, Visii, Aryss & Nick, ran the LIA Projects, and I'm certain one of the Thane Fans started the Protesting the Treatement of the ME2 LIs In ME3, but did you ever stop and join any of their groups f*ck no, so when a Miri group pops up and it's just stealing and recycleing an idea and project the Thane Fans started you run right over there. F*ck YOU, BEING Original don't mean jack to you c0cosuckers withless sacks of sh!t.
Oh yeah I just lost it all yet again reciting the same rant I had last night when I saw it. On the upside I think my creative juices are now flowing after that all.
I think I am going to watch House at least... I had to erase my original thought, it was far from nice and not subtle. But then again, why bother, not like anyone will notice or respond in a Thane thread. I should not be surprised, I'm used to being slapped in the face. I'm pretty sure when it's my time to die, Death itself will walk up to me and slap me across the face and say, "Ha...I don't think so, I think I'll let you suffer some more."
I am going to go have a drink right along with my House because well, it's in my best interests. I tend to have anger issues. Severe anger issues. That tends to be followed with "Verbal Tirade Disease."
I will however say this, I wish Miri's fans well. I do not blame them, nor do I hate them or hold ill will toward them. It is not their fault. I do mean that sincerely.
And I don't blame Miri fans themselves, but well, it's hard not to be entirely pissed off about the whole thing. Maybe it's because bioware didn't drive off their writer. *shrugs* who knows, but I'm about to get loud behind the scenes and hopefully come back *slim chance a best* with an entire new plan of attack. Not saying I won't be here, but I'm...working on something. *insert evil grin*
