Wait wait, so you HAD to play multiplayer - against your will! You played it enough to earn 3 million credits the old fashioned grind way(way more than you HAD to lol), and yet somewhere along the line you spent REAL money on something you didn't want to do in the first place? I'm sorry, but this is just too funny.

Good luck with your 'lawsuit.' lololoolololl

I have to do it:

Seriously, what is wrong with you people? Company takes someones money, does not deliver promised product and then says, yes, we know this happens and we maybe fix it someday, thank you for your money bytheway, and you are blaming the said customer? So, if you go to shop, buy food for 30 bucks, crazy sales person takes your money AND your food, you want to see the owner of said shop and owner just says "yes, this happens, my worker is a bit crazy, better luck next time" and then keeps the food and your money, you are all OK with that? You say, "oh well, it was my fault, I shouldn't never have gone to that shop", even when you had no knowledge of crazy people working there?

I really wonder what has happened in society when fraud is accepted when company making the fraud is large enough. 30 bucks, 300 bucks, does not matter, this is still a fraud. If they know something like this happens and STILL keep taking money from innocent people, it is a fraud and nothing else.

I fully sympathise with the OP and wish him/her the best of luck with the law suit.

It is unacceptable that EA is aware of this problem yet do nothing to warn people. That is purely a question of profit. If they warn people then the spend on packs goes down, whereas they think that since it is only a small amount of money, most people will do nothing or maybe just complain and then forget about it.

I lost $5 in the same way as the OP and both EA and Sony refused to refund it. So, while I cannot join in the OP's law suit (I live in Australia), I am backing it 100%. Someone needs to say that what EA is doing is not right, and make them do something about it.

Good luck OP!

I'm sure you'll be spending more on lawyer fees than the $30 you claimed to have lost, so good luck with that.

Yes, and because of sheep like yourself EA could probably get away with fraudulently charging every customers $50.

You spent 30 dollars, on packs, and for some reason didn't bother checking each individual one before leaving your house and not even opening all of them? It's your own fault.

They´re just internet trolls, enjoying the anonimity of the internet to laugh at or ridicule other people. In this case some people have nothing better to do but to troll the OP because of the tone of his complaint. I hate people who laugh at  other´s problems while sitting in front of their PC, like in the internet normaly civility rules no longer apply.

I applaud the OP for taking action, instead of getting pretty injustice get away, some consumers have standards, and no just because the sum is "pretty" or the crime of fraud is "pretty" to you, doesn´t mean isn´t worth pursuing justice. OP, It will probably cost you more than doing nothing, but then justice has never been free. I wish you good luck.

Here is something for the trolls.

Please leave high school before posting in these threads. The grim and angry world that awaits you will knock the stupid out of you really quick, even if you go to college.

A company offered a product. The product failed to be delivered.

He did the right thing by contacting his credit card company to make sure the loss of money was not permanent. Being careful with your cash, no matter the amount is a sign of being a responsible adult.

When a company violates commerce laws, or rips off consumers, he is fully within his right to take them to court. Michigan courts are not very friendly to large corporations.

Mocking him for doing so is like mocking him for enjoying the Bill of Rights. It just shows how remarkably stupid you all are.

So The OP poster has NO right to be mad that he made a purchase and EA neither gave him his product nor refunded his money, forcing him to do a chargeback which banned his PSN account??? I am not sure what is more offensive, EA's business practices OR the stupidity of the BSN members defending EA like mindless lemmings...

Good luck OP. More power to you. I'd hate getting ripped off too (haven't spent a penny in MP, but I can sympathize).

I'd recommend going into small claims though, it's considerably cheaper and easier.

all i can say about this is this seriously. Good luck with the Internet Tough guy act.

humm maybe we should all be carefull or he will try to sue us all for Definition of character. HA!

Pro tip, if you're going to talk down to someone and mock them, use the correct word. It's defamation of character.

Yes if that is the word i was trying to use.  Next time take a moment to Know a Joke when  you see one.  Definition as in an Internet tough guy in this case.  Defamation again in this case would be slander or was it lible because its in wrighting... oh who cares.  meh still its a Joke with word play.  so again who cares?

Herp derp,.get called on your herp derp, make up a story, herp derp. "wrighting" yeah you're really convincing me with that one kiddo.

I cant understand why you spend 30usd on something you dont like, why not just play on bronze and get the readness.

Also the right way to get your money back on a digital purchase is to call sony/steam/origin or whatever platform you buy from and ask for a refund, not call your bank and charge back.

I'll second that. Pretty shocked at some these replies suggesting it's his fault EA took his money and gave him nothing in return, or mocking him because of the amount or what it was spent on which is totally irrelevant anyway.

lol at all the dumbasses mocking him. he paid for a product and didnt receive it, then tried to get his money back, and got even more ****ed over.

and since when is 30 bucks not a decent amount of money (excluding his ps account ban)?

if you went to the gas station and asked for a full tank, they charged you 40 bucks, and you didnt get the gas, would you just say **** it and drive off? how about when you say "hey i didnt get any gas, give me my money back" and in response, they took your drivers license.

obviously he should have just let it go amirite?

I want to stand with Zartanyen on this but how long did you give Bioware to fix the problem? I've worked retail before and have seen problems with systems that require calls to people that aren't working that day or would take time. Apologize to the customer and try to help however I can to resolve it faster.
Also my question is how long did Bioware know about the problem and try to fix it or remove the option till it was fixed.

That being said I do support a lawsuit against EA / Bioware if their going to endorse lying and not completing products before release. Then making players pay to get key points from games or to pay for their product they didn't complete in time.
Others companies are going to follow their lead if you let them do it. Be a good consumer. Complain and do not buy their products. Rent, buy pre-played or borrow games that you must absolutely play. Support a lawsuit for false advertising. As for making players pay for key points in their games with day 1 DLC, well... We'll have to do a boycott. If you MUST play something with an EA label on it then borrow, rent or buy pre-used so they don't get the money. Make them listen with their wallets. Its the only way to make corporations listen.

they are if you have prepaid legal (which OP said he had a lawyer on standby, so im assuming this is what he meant), its like 10 bucks a month lol  and a case this easy to contest doesnt need a high priced lawyer, even if it is against EA.

this problem has been happening since the demo lol.  ive experienced it with credits multiple times since i wouldnt really pay for free stuff, but it seems to happen with real money too.  if they can't fix this bug they have to shut down the option to pay for a pack.  otherwise theres a certain time frame in which they have to respond to claims, and if they dont, its fraudulent.

Is there any articles about this? I'd like to add it to my list grievances with EA and how players shouldn't be buying or playing their products. Thanks.

PS If this is true and they have known about the problem for so long then Bioware / EA is involved in illegal credit card fraud.

you would probably have to peruse the forums a bit to find anything documented, and even then itll probably just be people QQing about not receiving their packs, nothing official.

As in NEVER getting their packs? Or just a delay? Or a ticket to support then they get them?
