If I make a mistake in my build, is there anyway to re-set my ability points so I can choose the right spells?

Thanks.

Yes, if you have the expansion (maybe? someone check me on this) with the store in the sewers I forget the name, you can buy a potion or tome that lets you reset all your ability points, spells, etc. I think it's like 6 gold or something.

It's a DLC that I think comes free with every original copy (or was it just for pre-orders ?)
Anyway it's called "the black emporium", so if that rings any bells, go check that, and if it doesn't, then you can't respec unless you buy it. Or you can use a savegame editor if you're tech-savy enough and playing on PC.

Also, if you don't have The Black Emporium DLC, I highly suggest you buy it. It's worth every penny for the Maker's Sigh (respec potion) alone, since you can respec yourself as well as your companions however you wish, if you make a mistake, or just want to test something different. There are some other goodies there as well: nice gear, potions for additional skill/stat points, and some recipes not available anywhere else. You also get a dog companion that is a 5th (optional) party member.

Not to mention the mirror thingy, which allows you to change your appearance however you like, so if there's something irritating you about Hawke's look, you can just change it.
