Still doesn't mean you don't have a lack of players. Quite a few of my PC friends no longer play on anymore and only come back for the weekend events, and most of them no longer visit the forums. PS3 no one plays anymore on my friends list as they've all gone back to the normal.
As for me I still play this on the PC, stopped playing on the PS3 after BW decided to **** me over so its AWESOMNAUTS for now till Starhawk.
The thing about all the "my friends have stopped playing" point is that nobody knows numbers unless Bioware posts them. Your friends may leave, but other people join. The overall is still most likely going down every day, but nobody really knows if it's at an alarming rate other than EA/Bioware.
To use WoW again(Just because it fits every argument so damn well) people at the start of Wrath of the Lich King said the same thing about their friend's list getting smaller and smaller every day, and the game had its' peak number of active subscriptions during that expansion at 12 million.
