For console gamers ME3 is old. The MP community won't be dead but it sure as hell won't be as filled as it used to be. Max Payne is coming out and has MP also, GRAW is coming, etc etc etc which will shrink the console players pool. As for PC gamers they have one big game coming out in two weeks and I expect the PC gamer pool to shrink to nought also.

Well the MP was bound to die, and given that it was more of an experiment to see what the reaction to MP in the Mass Effect universe was going to be and therefor wasn't fleshed out that much, it's going to die sooner rather than later.
But I don't see any of these games being the "nail in the coffin" so to speak, not even all of them combined.

Borderlands comes out on September 18th, Black Ops I couldn't possibly care less about if you paid me so I don't actually know.
That's actually a fairly decent lifespan for what the MP in this game actually was. It was never going to hold out forever against MP focused games, and I don't know why people are thinking that it should be capable of it.

I don't need or want to be "stroked" as you put it. I know it's rare to see someone defend against the trolls so diligintally, but I will never back down to ignorance and intolerance of others views. Still doesn't mean you don't have a lack of players. Quite a few of my PC friends no longer play on anymore and only come back for the weekend events, and most of them no longer visit the forums. PS3 no one plays anymore on my friends list as they've all gone back to the normal.
As for me I still play this on the PC, stopped playing on the PS3 after BW decided to **** me over so its AWESOMNAUTS for now till Starhawk.
