It's not his syntax, its his context that does not apply.  Rebuking Bioware, a company I have paid for a service, is hardly outside the realm of adult discussion.  Trying to slander me does not undermine the sentiment.    Jesus people it's not like I said I was never buying another EA product again, I said I would be playing future soldier and would not be looking back at ME3 MP.  Please try not to take very simply laid out posts way out of context to validate your own assertions.

Okay, then let's take this at this level: What did you get for your 60 bucks? You got an awesome single player game (with a ****ty ending, but that's not the point of this discussion) and a pretty decent multiplayer mode. To me it looks like you had fun for about two months with it, if you hadn't I'd expect you leaving much earlier. Not that bad, isn't it?

.

You hit the nail on the head friend.  2 dedicated months, check my manifest.  Every day here.  I NEVER made the claim that I did not enjoy the time I had in.  I assumed the title would provide the context.  "Greed kills another DREAM"

Dream is the key word there.  Nobody says that about something they didn't love.   I love this game, both the SP and the MP.  HOWEVER, i do not agree with how many of the issues associated with the game have been handled, and WHEN the next game comes out I will put this down and play that.   My list of complaints was very specific and easy enough to research.   I didn't think I was going to have to put it any simpler than I did in my original post but apparently some of us have selective reading skills and fail to grasp the soul.

And to those of you that think it's just me and "50" other people .....LOLOLOLOL.   It's a bit more than that.  You aren't factoring in the people that don't give enough of a sh*t  to post a lamentful remark before getting bored and moving on.

do you own a tent and sleep in public parks until the cops throw you out?

If I thought 'occupying' would help I just might do it!

I'm sure it's just the community resonating my discontent.  I'm sure the trollers here will call "hax" because 4 stars doesn't fit with the argument that "nobody cares".  Well guess, what, people do care.  Almost as if they spent their hard earned money on a product and feel let down.  Why is this surprising to some?

You're free to voice your issues on the forums(That is what they're there for afterall), but I wouldn't go thinking that a couple of people giving your thread a high rating somehow equates to the community agreeing with you on the matter.

You also didn't answer my question as to what "string of broken promises" they had in this game's MP?

200+ replies, 4000+views in the first hours.  Yeah you are right, probably just a "few" voters.  LOL
It won't take you long to find 50 posts similar to mine just within the Bioware community, not to mention all the other gaming forums where these issues are being discussed.   The ratings are about the simplest way to guage where the community sits on an issue.  Thats why we rate things!  I swear some peoples logic...

Nice dodging of my question so you don't have to admit you have no answer.

I bet you I can also find 10 times as many "This game has reached its' end!" threads on the World of Warcraft forums(and I bet half of them are about "Activision's greed"). Last time I checked they were still going pretty strong. Lost around 10-15% of their subscriptions, but still going stronger than any other subscription MMO by a considerable amount.

and yes, 200(or even 4000) is not that many compared to the millions of people who bought Mass Effect. Even if only 1 million copies got sold, that's about 0.4% of the population, and a pretty poor sample size to say that it reflects the opinions of everybody.

Oh yeah, this game has more issues than my last family reunion. The overall technical quality is crazy low, I suspect their QA department hasn't been allowed to sleep for ...um, ever ... probably, which might explain the insane number of bugs Bioware is apparently not even ready to discuss.

The UI has issues (like can cause headaches), features don't work as documented, and Bioware is apparently in a weekly trend of still balancing the game - which is never a good sign for an online game since you're basically in a beta testing loop at that point. You couldn't pay me to look at this net code for fear of happening to me what happened to those German fellows at the end of the first Indiana Jones movie.

And on top of that is some just strange variations of game mechanics which don't really work well - especially the tie-in to the single player campaign and the fact that for veteran players the store is so absurd that even farming for 3 million credits is apparently moderately worthless.

But it doesn't break the Epic's first rule of designing games, at least not for a lot of Mass Effect gamers who are looking for a way to keep playing with this franchise, and doing so with friends.

I used to mod Unreal games back on the PC and one of the fun things about that community was that Epic used to be very vocal and easy to talk with about people tinkering with their engine and games. They probably still are, don't know - haven't been around for years.

But their first rule was simple: it had to be fun.

Game can be technically brilliant and not have a bug in the world, but still boring as hell. This game is still fun. Sure, I think it gets less fun for people who have just played it for hours and hours and have fiddled with every build and unlocked everything in the store. But damn, that takes a lot of hours and is more about the smallish number of maps and some redundancy on the game modes than anything about the store or apocalyptic capitalism.

I know, I don't think you used the phrase "apocalyptic capitalism" - but it sounds cool.

Anyway, I've got loads of complaints about this game and have honestly stared in disbelief, literally just stopped and stared, at some of the bugs in what's being sold as a production game.

But it doesn't break the first rule. Still fun. Love that I can jump in, find a game quickly, play for 30-40 minutes, and jump out. I don't always have long periods to devote to gaming, and I love Mass Effect ... so for me - the game is still quite fun.

Actually, it's quite hard to find 50 people who agree with you in this 200+ reply post.

Most of this thread is:

1) You trolling

or

2) Everyone else feeding your flames

Either you are a very good troll, or you have a loose grip on reality.

Doubting it hard. Whether they agree with you or not, you're doing an atrocious job making and defending your stance. For example, saying that anyone thinks that "hax" is the reason for the number of stars. Who would bother hacking? I just think its a trainwreck. That was the point I was implying.

So now we are comparing ME3 MP to WoW????  Not even close to the same thing.  I'm not even going to begin to list the reasons why.   The fact of the matter is is that I made a statement, and you are arguing from seeimingly nobody's standpoint.   It would seem you are just looking to argue and inflame this matter.

Last I checked, your thread and continued posts dispute the ratings. Hence my initial post. But it doesn't sound like you're generally replying to my posts to begin with, like the "nobody cares" diatribe, or the "selective reading" hogwash.

Bleh!

Getting tired of uneducated trolls posting threads and stating their opinions as irrefutable facts that they can't back up.

Though I must admit, the "I've been playing since atari" line was funny as ****. Which I would like to ask: which atari system? they made quite a few.

Always sad to see great ideas crushed under the weight of capitalism.

I hope TC's Future Soldier will be worth all the hype.  That's where I'll be headed in a couple weeks, never to look back.  Shame on you EA/Bioware.  Shame.

You forgot to find a way to tie greed into the cause of all this.  Currently the title for this thread makes no sense because you haven't tried to make a case for the whole greed thing.  It kind of calls the rest of what you've said into question if you can't even get that one simple thing right.

My point is that you can find doomsayers in any gaming community, and the vast majority of them are wrong even if "50+ people on the forums make similar posts".

This wasn't meant to be an expose on the woes of the gaming industry.   It is the culmination of frustrations with this title that can only be attributed to greed.   Why release the game before it's ready?  greed.  Why not spend the time/money/resouces to maintain and upkeep product regularely?  Greed.   Why slap a cliche ending on the game and blame the lack of a proper rewrite on a "leaked ending"?  Greed. I can go on and on, but again I will refer you to the MANY MANY other forum posts reguarding these issues specifically.

I would have been more than happy to wait 3 or even 6 more months longer for this title, as long as it was on the same level of quality that I have come to expect from Bioware.   It simply is not, and though you may not agree, I am not alone.

I missed the part where defending your own post is trolling...
Here is a definition, as you are obviously unaware

In Internet slang, a troll[/b] is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion

I addressed nobody directly except the people whom I have paid money to procure a product.   I have used no foul language and every post I've made has been curteous and respectful to the community.   I hope this vocabulary lesson is useful to you, and remember, just cuz we learn a new word doesn't mean it applies to every situation.
