First of all I am from Germany and therefore want to apology for my probably bad English.
Because Dragon Age will be released on the 5th in Germany, I thought I could take advantage of that.
I plan to play a mage and still do not know which spells I will choose.
It would be nice if you could tell me about your experiences with the spells you have chosen and their usefullness.

Even if it sjust for the start, the basic Heal is a godsend. Otherwise its up to you, I found Virulent Bomb -> Mana of corpse ability in the second tier invaluable. Also Mind Blast is nice, aoe stun. Its hard to go wrong as each spell literally does what you expect it to BUT I suggest looking at each Tier of the spell lines. Sometimes its worht taking an average spell for access to a better one down the line (such as the Hex line).
