 It's possible within the games engine, during one of the dream sequences I nabbed a pic.


I LOVE the armour's looks and stats...but I hate the helmet, due to the helmet vanishing in the dreams it is definatley possible within the games coding to remove these 'fixed' helms. I was wondering if it's possible to modify an ini or something to hide helms 24/7.

In the options you can just set 'shepard's helmet' to 'off in conversations'.

Unfortunately the "Off" option is only available for your sqad, not for Shepard.

Only with coalesced editing, which I'm still not sure whether or not it's a ban worthy offence in the eyes of EA.

Aha! There's an option to toggle Shep's helm during convos. Well, a lot better than having that silly helm all the time And it's a separate option to Squad helms ^^

They should have an option to remove the helmet on ALL of the unique armors sets. Include it in a patch or something. They showed in the trailers the player using the N7 Defender armor without the helmet in combat; in fact, if you look at the N7 Warfare Gear trailer, Shepard doesn't wear the Defender armor's helmet AT ALL.

I've been trying to request (to no avail) , I've spoken with some folks @ BW so far they've said they'd at least suggest it. I even suggested just making the helmet customizable (for 360 owners) even suggested leaving the armor entact for the sake of clipping issues just the ability to remove it in most situations like your sqaud) I'm not sure if they're going do anything about it though ....I to can't stand the fact that squadmates get "Default off" in the Options Naritive. Apparently PC users can have the helmet removed even swaped out for other helmets.......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jngqKIr6D4A

I've even tweeted a little with Rick Gibbed He created this wonderful modding tool for both XBOX360 and PC users called gibbed editor sadly he's no closer to removing the helmet for 360 owners- http://svn.gib.me/bu...ffect3/?C=M;O=D

for PC user however you can do it somehow by using the caolesced editor again instructions are in the social bw link above.....hopefully someone can help us out at this point I spend more time on threads and other websites looking for ways to get rid of the helmet and less time playing the game .....FRUSTRATED!

5/3/12 not in a good mood about this at all anymore if BW listening, I feel as though BW could nip this in the bud (but they don't care) ...not asking for full body customization for full body armor just the ability to set in option> Naritive "Default off" , so shep can have the same options his sqaud has... once again on the threads tonight looking for any "HOPE" that BW could do that but "ME" thinks that "hope" is starting to fade, so hopefully you bought the game on PC other wise "NOPE"

Yes it is. It's for cutscenes, and is off where seeing shepards face actually matters.

that one armor thats black with red light lines on it would be aweosme without a hemlet, and with the option to change the light color to something oter then red.

This. To remove that idiotic helmet was the most asked feature in ME2 regarding armors. It was also the sole reason why me and many other people never used these armors. And what we get? Turn off the helmet in conversations. Yeah Bioware, thanks for nothing, now all these armors are useless again.

I got my E3 tickets wait...I mean BW I'm hopeful you will make this right soon by adding the default off for Shepard (which is who the story surround). BW please!! (in my Luke begging vader to dump the emperor over the ledge voice) fix this.....this issue for me at this point is more taxing the the final 10 mins of ME3. Help a brotha out please. You could 90-95% of all helmet threads
