does anyone miss the heavy weapons from ME2?  i know they sometimes seemed way OP or just plain silly (Mr Freeze's gun, anyone?), but the weapon clamp on the back of the armor in ME3 is just screaming to have something docked there and i really miss my singularity projector...

Not really. Only being able to get ammo by going on missions that had heavy weapons ammo lying around in boxes was ridiculous.

yeah, that was kinda annoying. i still find the empty slot between my AR and sniping rifle to be a bit more annoying

Nah, I'm glad they're gone. Especially the Cain, it made boss fights ridiculously easy.

They were cut for plot reasoning.

It's not that annoying since the positions on the weapon screen are those that the weapons are placed on in your armor when not in your hand, and the middle section seems to be taken by the reinforced exoskeleton or lights on most racial armors on multiplayer too (not to mention the Cobra launcher).

They should have taken out either the Cain, or the boss fights. Not both! :o

I never really used them, I tested them all ,but the only one I would use was Arc Projector on my soldier to strip shields or for CC other than that the flame thrower for the collector ship . . . Other than that I dont miss them they were situational to me , I wish wedid have the option to carry them or not just to have different builds with the weight system and make the ammo very limited but im fine with how they handled them this time around

I miss my ML-77 Missile Launcher. (Especially on Thessia. Bye-bye gunship!)

With the rapid fire tech/biotic combos heavy weapons are not needed as they were sometimes in ME2. That and ME3's enemies are squishy compared to ME2's enemies.

I dunno, they all looked really fugly on my back. I'm fine with them as pick ups.

On a few occasions I'd find myself wishing I had a heavy weapon to use at certain moments.  But on the whole I didn't miss them too much, which is kinda surprising considering I was a big fan of them in ME2.  Most times when it would be really handy to have one, there just so happens to be one there.  Reaper Blackstorms, Geth Spitfires, Hydra Missile Launchers, and of course the Cain in strategic places were enough for me.

I miss carrying a railgun/nuke-launcher on my back. Made my Shepard look like a walking armory

Yeah. Heavy weapons were cut so that they could do plot armor-y things like the gunship at the temple on Thessia.

You'll pick them up during missions if you spot them on the ground, but most of them are one-shot deals and promptly vanish after the mission.

I only really used the Particle beam in ME2 with the exception of the Cain against the Colossus in Tali's recruitment mission so I'm not really sad to see them gone.

Don't really miss the heavy weapons. They have their place in ME3, but it's really not nessessary to walk around with them for every mission. Besides, what else would you be able to carry w/o dramatically slowing down your recharge speed?

I miss the heavy weapons, even though I didn't need to use them much in ME2. I think picking them up randomly off the ground is a bit too "convenient" story-wise.

True but like Vegete said this game has weight restrictions that slow down your powers recharge speed this wasn't in ME1 or ME2 so carrying around a single Heavy weapon would most likely max out your weight capacity.

Not really. I like the "special" weapons in Mass Effect 3 better; guns like the M-37 Falcon and Particle Rifle. More reliable, and just as entertaining.

Also, I found having that oversized package on my back to irritating in Mass Effect 2. I still don't like how we're forced to carry the Cobra missile launcher at all times in multiplayer. It looks especially ridiculous on the Krogan.

I'd carry around the black star in MP all the time if they'd let me.
