I'd imagine when it's 9am ish wherever EA's servers are located (as in, when the server techs get in) the problem will actually start to be looked into.

Edit: Just took a look, seems the server it connects to initally (yes, even if you're in Europe) is in California, it's 7:40am there, so I'd expect they'll start looking into the issue in 1h20m or so.

BioWare are likely just as much in the dark about what is causing the issue as EA support are.

Do you have the From Ashes DLC? Because it is my understanding that you can't play even SP if you have it.

I have a standard digtal copy with Ashes DLC and can play SP just fine. Can't acess MP though due to this BS.

As an experiment, I tried starting Dragon Age II, similar "Unable to connect to Dragon Age servers. Please try again." message there, though the DA2 DLCs and single player still seem functional.
Looks like they improved on that for Mass Effect 3.
Way to go!
