So it's been 24 hours (near enough) that this problem started, and all we've had is we are working on it. Now I know things take time.
But would it kill someone to say "It could take us 48 hours to fix this". I know I'd feel better and think "Ok. I'll come back in a few days and see." This checking every few hours is just a pain.

Please, pull them in here. Taking 5 minutes to explain it in something that resembles an honest attempt and competent words to why we're stuck would be the least we could expect.

Let them fix it.  They don't need come on the board just let us know how many seconds till it's fixed.  Unless something got hacked, they don't really need to tell us anything.

Assuredly they do! There are forum moderators not burdened with the task of trying to fix this issue, they are (so to speak) the eyes, ears AND mouths of the company if need be.

Furthermore, if a techie (let's call it a techie, because at this moment I personally think "engineer" is way too much of a compliment) can take about 5 minutes of his/her/it's time to post atleast 1 update on the forum, I would be happy to wait 10 minutes longer on a fix.

The speed of fixing this problem doesn't seem to rely on the manpower but the brainpower, they still don't know WHAT the problem really is, or else it would/should have been fixed pretty fast after detection. In the IT (especially support) business it's not really a matter of time to FIX the problem, most time is consumed on finding it in the first place.

If the problem is FOUND, you relay that information to your clients/customers. "We have found the issue, we estimate it will take minutes/hours/days/weeks untill we can fix it" I have worked as an IT advisor for all my adult life, this isn't some special tactic, it's COMMON KNOWLEDGE ( and simply put: it's ITIL foundation).

you know something funny about all this is I was just over on the EA help site and they state there is no online pass for/needed in the PC version of ME3 thus they broke something that in theory doesn't exist and added data to the game to ask for data that never existed. silly EA making bioware suffer for your DRM.

As mentioned multiple times in this thread, you can try switching the Origin client to Offline and it should let you load saved games with the DLC for single player (it may require that you have installed one of the recent updates). I know it works for me.

And on the BW side they have said they are aware and looking into it, but they are really bad at presenting that info effectively.

I don't blame Bioware for this. EA is a joke and their servers and customer support are garbage. It's really a shame (and a bit of an irony) that a great game of theirs is being unintentionally sabotaged by EA.

They should atleast warn us about server mantainance. This seems more like a server failure.

Also, I find it really silly that they posted the operation exorcist update on the main page when they didn't properly address the online pass issue... It's just aggravating...
