Yeah but you still don't need it for PC. Origin is the DRM (basically), you can't buy used versions for PC. As soon as you link it to your account its there forever. Passes are for consoles to get more money from people that use GameFly, Gamestop, and other rentals. EA has already gotten the money from the rental company when they buy it to rent to someone. Rental company buys more copies when they need more. If you buy it used from a store, the store has already payed EA for the original new copy. It all just a big marketing scam for getting  more money out of console users. So they make an extra 10 bucks everytime someone doesn't buy a new copy.

This is my 1st post, and I am sad to say that it is pertaining to this manner. Something similar has happened to me in the past, but it looks like it was fixed quietly.

Same problem, also the message asking for the code has something odd in it, a line of text with a dollar sign and then six digits. That isn't the online pass code, I tried it already.

In theory we should have online pass codes if we have copies of the game. Where are they?

I don't think they would do you any good. Your code has already been redeemed when you activated the game.

Hopefully somebody in the gaming press writes up a long article about how PC players can't play the game because of EA/Bioware's efforts to make money on used sales of the console version.

Yeah I can't get online either. But I have to mention that before this issue occurred I didn't get either a commendation pack nor did I get a victory pack (yes I did complete gold with a full extraction). I might not of been on for the release of the packs, though.

 Me too.  :-(  What's more, since it breaks the DLC too, it effectively breaks my whole game, and not just MP.  Fail.

So I had an email from someone at EA support saying I just needed to update my game and that it would work. So I truer it again....... Still nothing. I've emailed them back saying no joy. So I'll wait and see what they say next.

Even with a pc before the main menu screen it asks us to Redeem or purchase an online pass then you go through a few steps to make sure its not he customers fault then repair reinstall then just sit tight till we fix it
