Good thing they already have my money. At this point they should be paying me to QA and alpha test.

Glad BioWare is getting on this, and luckily enough,I was able to get my commendation pack, which granted me an N7 weapon, but the Victory Pack was just equipment. So yeah, it is worth it, but all you get besides the N7 weapon is two pieces of basic equipment. So the N7 gear is very good, but I can see it being replaced by regular gear (especially the valiant, which, from my experience from the campaign, is worse than the Blackwidow and Widow).

But yes, I am having this issue on PC with my N7 Collector's Edition as well. But to let you guys know, this issue is only relegated to the PC. I got on my PS3 N7 CE, and everything went fine. I was able to connect to EA's servers, and load up the MP. So I do not know what could be taking them so long, but, with my brother having some friends in the gaming industry, I can safely tell you that, if it is as major as I think it is, don't get impatient. This will be over soon enough, but will take some time. Being that it has already been nearly 24 hours, I can tell you that my hunch is being proven right.

I'll give BioWare as much time as they need to fix the issue, with only a request of a premium spectre pack or even a regular spectre pack. I mean, it doesn't cost too much to implement (Premium Spectre is only, what, 240 BioWare Points?), and thus they can easily churn them out to all the PC players affected. Also, for those of you who were not able to redeem their commendation packs, maybe BioWare could reset the timer on them? Sure, they are just equipment, but, I know how some of you must feel.

So yes, I am having the same issue, but I have faith that BioWare will get it fixed, after all, we are not dealing with DICE here, where every patch DICE makes for Battlefield 3 makes the game even worse (and they even had the gall to implement a Call of Duty DLC Pack and shortcut kits, but eh). BioWare has proven that every patch they have made actually benefits the game, so, once again, I have full complete faith that they will get this fixed, hopefully within the 48 hour period originally promised earlier in this thread.

This is crazy! i bought the game for 80 Euro! first the face import bug, then the face issues, then the not possible ems 4000 issue. and now this!  I thought patch 1.02 fixed the offline SP issues!.
What was the 26 MB upgrade that origin installed?
I dont like programs to update without telling me what it does!

And its really crazy  the game cannot be played in SP modus now.

I just read that it is posted that it has to do with the recommondation packet? Well i have never played MP and i have not  one single packet for ME MP on my PC.

When i started the game origin installed a 26 MB update. ( i cannot undo it) and i refuse to restore my system to an earlier savepoint.

Edit-> i checked all at origin for updates ( ce version) (no updates)  and i did repair on the main game and ashes and the other things also ( also no errors).

I just contacted EA through live chat. They said their ME3 game servers are down.

"Yes there is an issue with our game server so that's why you are not able to play online."

They said it affects SP DLC too. No ETA on when they will come back up, but they know of the problem and then everything will be fixed.

Wait wait wait...

All I can say is that if the outage really is due to problems with distributing the commendation packs then those packs had better be awesome whenever we can finally get back into the game.

you have that backwards... victory packs come with crap, commendation come with an n7 weapon.

And that's why I hate Origin and similar DRMs. I've bought and paid for this game and I can't even play it. What a FAIL.

What's next, this problem will be fixed but I'll have missed the "deadline" to redeem my N7 Operation packs?

i'm sure that these support people are just bots, two seperate guys both said that part about being a gamer, word for word.

You got that in reverse. The VIctory Pack is the one everyone gets with the common consumables, and the Commendation Pack would be the special one with the N7 promotional weapon inside.

For me it only complains about authorizing the “Collector's Edition Online Pass Entitlement” and “From Ashes”…
It doesn't complain about the Resurgence pack for me. Not that it helps since of course I can't open either multiplayer or single player for over a day now, still, it's mildly amusing.

Looks like it's random which of your stuff is failing to authorize and which does.
That explains how a lucky few are still getting their “From Ashes” authorized and can thus at least load their single player saves even while the Online Pass is bugged for them too.

Yeah I edited really quick, sorry. A bit tired right now, so I guess that can be attributed to the slight mix up. (That goes for both of you who quoted me, but thanks for not calling me out :) )

As for the second response. For me it is both the CE entitlements AND From Ashes. But funny enough, my N7 Warfare gear, and the Resurgance Pack both work. So I guess you are right about the things being cancelled out being random. But another person found a way to bypass this check..for sinlgeplayer. I would find and quote, but I rather repeat what they said:

"To access singleplayer with all your DLC, go to the settings bar then scroll down to "Go Offline". Once you do this, then launch Mass Effect 3 through Origin, and you should be able to access your singleplayer campaign with your DLC."

I do not know if that will help, but I am hoping it does for all of you, at least for the SP portion :).

As I stated, I actually fully believe that BioWare will, at the very least, reset the timers on the N7 Operation packs. So do not fret too much about missing them right now, only get mad if they do not reset the timers (but since this only affects the PC (from what I have seen), it is highly likely they will).

As for similar DRMs...well Steam is a TAD better. It is still DRM, but at least when Steam goes offline you can still access your games and DLC. Origin, on the other hand, as Gabe Newell even stated, has a long way to go before they even catch up. So yeah, I don't appreciate Origin's DRM anymore than the next guy, but I tolerate it at the very least.

This game has been worked on for two years. It's the biggest, most-anticipated release by this developer since its predecessor. All that EA has to do is copy and paste everything for Madden '13. There is absolutely no reason that this should be down all friggin' day.

I swear, if I did my job this poorly, then I wouldn't have a job.

This is probably being treated as much "high priority" as the face import bug was. Which is to say, look to be able to play in a month or so. You know, when your readiness has gone down to 50%.
