Is there a way to remove the latest 26MB update that origin installed? Does anyone even knows what the update did? ( it was a Mass Effect update) not an Origin.exe update).
Is there a person who didnt install the latest 26MB update and continued playing without the update? ( with from Ashes dlc installed) Ifso can the game then be started offline in SP modus?

I have uninstalled, and reinstalling currently to see if that helps.

it doesn't, but at least it's given you something to do while you wait.

I didn't install it, but I still experienced the same issues as everyone else. Today I installed it in an attempt to fix the problem but it still doesn't work. So I'm guessing the update has no effect on whether the game works for you or not.
Edit: I just played the single-player game offline, with the update installed. I'm not sure if I could before I installed the update since I never tried.

"To access singleplayer with all your DLC, go to the settings bar then scroll down to "Go Offline". Once you do this, then launch Mass Effect 3 through Origin, and you should be able to access your singleplayer campaign with your DLC."
I do not know if that will help, but I am hoping it does for all of you, at least for the SP portion.
I tried that.. its not working. ( same errors).
Weird, it worked for some people yesterday. I guess they kind of got rid of that ability to play it with Origin Offline mode. I guess we are all stuck right now, without being able to play SP or even load up our saves.
As for the other person..well..I have a feeling the online check was for more than just ME 3 it seems. If you are unable to get David in Grissom Academy, even though you KNOW you saved him during Project Overlord, then this issue is a lot worse than it seems. Since it seems to be affecting everything, including importing characters from ME 2 (and ME 1 of course), this is not going to be a simple "let's flip the switch and turn it back on". If I were the two of you, I would not flip out right now, but rather wait the original 48 hours they stated, once it gets beyond that, though, by all means, start flipping out. But just be patient, I am trying to be

Well, they could atleast tell us what is wrong , why it is wrong and how they going to fix it . Instead of one message that has not been updated in god knows how long
there's been more than one, and the last one was sent 5 hours ago saying they're working on the fix.
there's even a sticky in the mp forum

I just checked my saves, before i started playing today (save2) david was flagged as saved
The autosave i just checked had only him unflagged, if it werent for a nice scene (and the goodies) i wouldnt mind much but it is weird (i also got no other problems with the dlc's beside the online pass)

Isn't that odd though? That the save 2 would have David flagged as saved from Project Overlord, while the autosave the game made itself had it unflagged? I mean, it never did it to me during my Let's Play, but, I have a feeling you are dealing with a bug more than anything to do with the servers being offline. I also believe this could affect other places in the game, where the game would flag a certain action the wrong way, thus locking us out of our choices. Then agian, I guess you should be glad it isn't as bad as Mass Effect 2, as ME 2 went so far as to make various side quests from ME 1 completely and utterly pointless to do (such as Shiala and the Exogeni scientists who get biologically bombed by the terrorists).
I suggest once we get the servers back up, you report that to BioWare if it is indeed a bug, so that they can fix it.

Also at the same time cover up that it was the DRM that blew up on them. The reason I think this is because all the rest of the authorization checks seem to work as well as the history of games / DLC bought through both Origin and Bioware. It's when it does it's behind the scenes DRM check that it fails.
I also think this has been going on for a lot longer then the last patch because they were doing manual fixes on accounts until the problem blew up big time. To many holes in the dike for tech support to stick fingers in. Now they "Really" have an issue on their hands and are having a hard time fixing it. Come on 48 hours to fix a downed server? No roll back on the Authentication Servers? No back ups for the Accounts Database? Something is flagging these accounts as invalid.

It is also both terribly distracting and makes typing difficult.
