I still can't believe I need to be online to play the single player version of this game... and now we need an online pass (for PC) and .. um.. there isn't one? Ugh.

Just happened to me as well, digital deluxe edition.

When i heard that this game was not going to be on steam, only on origin, it gave me serious pause, so much that i didn't buy it for several weeks after launch.

Not even being able to play my single player game because some overbearing DRM monster just has to authenticate my dlc every single ****ing time i start the game is bull****

well I guess EA just doesn't want all the platforms to play simultaneously. PS3 issue got fixed, now it's time for us PC owners to relax. Xbox boys are next I think.

Just happened to me as well. I own the CE, and have has very few issues since launch. considering the issues with multiplayer for the last 48 hours, it sounds like EA is having some catastrophic server/disgruntled and malicious tech support guy issues.

Edit: Also, am I the only one that thinks a system like this is completely insane?

I'm old as ****, and I've been playing computer games on and off for the last 20 years. A system that has to pause to authenticate your game every single time you go to the title screen using a buggy ststem just seems like a bizarre turn of events. I have no idea what to do about this, however, aside from just never buying a bioware/ea game again.

I mean hell. I'd understand if the multiplayer servers went down. That's just kinda how it works with online gaming. But Single Player? What the Christ?

After a quick glance at the XBOX and PS3 Boards i do think they have the same issue.

Hosed as well. I am sure if this issue was effecting their Online store it would be dealt with post haste(IE cant take money). But we are just gamer cash cows and we are only important when it comes to the time to be milked. I hate EA always have, it's almost better and safer to pirate their games then to buy them. It's so sad Bioware got involved with them.

Same here. Crashed out of a game and now it thinks I don't own the collectors edition, even though Origin shows that I do. EA chat reps distinctly unhelpful as well :(
