Hey guys I am really confused about this subject as it never comes up in the game.... I've read people mention every now and then that Morrigan and Alistair might be siblings, could anyone explain how this could be and who might Morrigans father be???

Bring on all the crazie theories I like reading them !!

You get a chance to ask Morrigan about it - and she's not exactly sure herself. She does mention however that she remembers Flemeth having long black hair much like herself which makes me wonder if Morrigan isn't older than she seems herself (you don't exactly go from beautiful woman with raven black hair to old hag like Flemeth in 20 years - well usually)

As for Morrigan's father, wasn't there a dialog option somewhere that I didn't pick? Maybe? No? I don't remember.

Hmm that is true I remember asking this and getting the reply that Flemeth had long black hair etc.... and that wouldn't be possible 20 years ago.... Never thought of it that way...

Umm no we're never told in DA:O. Quite likely to be Maric...

1) Where did the OTHER side of Alistair go? You can't be a blundering and insanely trusting nice idiot like Alistair when you are King of a nation which is hardly constantly at peace.

2) So it follows this ruthless side is entirely present in Morrigan. Interesting, no? ;p

Admittedly genetics doesnt really work like that but its fun.

Morrigan said that Flemeth take the body of her daughters so is it not likely that she looks good every once and awhile.

Well lets face it certainly explains all that bickering going one between Morrigan and Alistair, seemed like brother/sister rivalry to me, guess that Maric really got around (probably every 2nd person in Ferelden will turn out to be his kid if things keep going this way  )

And mabye if there's gonna be some tainted demon child mabye it's better they are a 'specially enbled' child due to possible inbreeding (can't really do much damage then )

it doesnt say explicitly that flemeth and maric made love, right? it just says, from what i read in the discussions, that maric was in flemeth's hut for 3 hours and then went out and was shaken.. so it doesnt really mean THAT, does it? plus if morrigan is older then she appears then at this moment when maric visits flemeth morrigan should already be born, right? or no? eh i'm confused.

This is why I love this board. If it's true, Maric sure loved doing anything that walks. That would take the toll to what, four children? The list just keeps on growing.

We know that Maric made a deal with her but we don´t know the kind of arrangement they had.



On the other hand, I´d vote for Morrigan to be a biological doughter of Flemeth. Morrigan has a cool love-hate relation with her mother and she gets really pissed when Alistair points out at her nose and general resalmblance with Flemeth.



The inbreed thing, if Morrigan and Alistair are confirmed brothers will make be one of those things that create the stuff of legend: "and then, they moved to Middle of Nowhere-Alabama to rise their kid and make moonshine.
